We were so impressed with the Pacific Hotel in Monterey. We were visiting our daughter at the Presidio in Monterey. The Presidio is a minute away - around the corner. Cannery Row just down the road. There is a nice park and shops across the street and a quaint movie theater with cafe just a block away! We booked a...

We thoroughly enjoyed our one night weekend stay at the Pacific Hotel, which I booked because of a reduced price offer. Our junior suite was very large, with great amenities: pillow top king bed, fireplace with comfortable couch and chairs, large bathroom with stall shower and separate tub shower, etc. Location was great for walking around downtown or Fisherman's Wharf,...

Great Hotel, Good staff, maids unfriendly. terrible nights sleep, furniture moving 2:30AM, woke us up both nights, last time we stayed here same thing. I recommended they place an area rug under the dining chairs. I believe this is where the problem stems from. Too bad, its a really nice feel in the rooms, with fireplace and large European style...

I love all-suite hotels. The extra room was a big selling point. Even the "junior suite" had plenty of room to stretch out. Each room has a fireplace as well which is completely sold me. Only a couple of knocks on the hotel. First, you have to pay for parking (19 bucks a night I believe). It is far enough...

My wife and I had a weekend getaway and stayed here on the advice of one of my wife's friends who stayed here before. We were surprised at the size of the room nice and large, had a couch, table, gas fireplace large bathroom shower tub and separate shower. The staff was more than helpful, and just a 5 minute...

Wonderful hotel, we stay here every year. convenient and close to fisherman's wharf and walking distance to cannery row shopping. We had trouble figuring out how to light the fireplace, rang housekeeping and literally within minutes someone was at our door and lit the fireplace for us.

This is very nice and an excellent value. I would definitely stay again. The beds are super comfortable with feather tops. Bathrooms remodeled and all units have a nice fireplace, sofa and large screen TV. It's a bit of a cottage feel so if you are into big marble lobbies, restaurants and spas on site this is not your hotel....

The rooms are nice and tidy, the staff is friendly, and the breakfast was ok given US standards. But the wireless internet is extremely overpriced (US$ 0.6 per minute), as is the hotel parking (US$ 20 per day). Interestingly, this is not mentioned by the staff until when you get the bill: for instance, when you log onto the WiFi,...

I had a positive experience. The room was clean with a large suite layout. It definitely had character and yes it was a maze of a layout of a hotel. Definitely book a top floor....good advice from the other posts. It is a good location and they did provide wifi and a continental breakfast.

I was here on business recently and had my family accompany me. I originally chose the hotel because of proximity to the convention center and was pleasantly surprised by the accommodations. Pro's: Walking distance to Convention Center, wharf and downtown shops Rooms have fireplaces and lounge area-great for my family Our room had a walk-out patio- beautiful landscaping and relaxing...
