Currently staying here and definitely would not recommend. Very thin walls, and lots of airport noise. Rooms are only cleaned every 3 days, so you have to take out your own garbage, make your bed, trade your towels in every day...not what I go on vacation to do. Breakfast was advertised, but they do not actually offer it.
This is a great place to stay in Monterey. Rooms are clean and good sized the beds are comfortable. The staff is nice and very helpful. It is not within walking distance to the wharf or the aquarium, but it is a quick drive. I did notice planes flying over but they seemed to stop around 10-11pm. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again when we go back to visit.
Nice hotel. Beautiful flowers all around outside. Staff was really helpful with information about where to eat in monterey and carmel, California. Comfortable beds and convenient parking right in front of your room. Location is directly behind Monterey Fairgrounds.
We had been driving up the PCH all day and had no cell service, so by the time we arrived in Monterey we were beat and just wanted a place to lay our heads. We saw the Blu Pacific online. It looked decent and was, we thought, reasonable for Monterey at around $200 a night for a single queen room. We couldn't have been more wrong. My room was tiny. The rooms are dumpy and worn. I couldn't get hot water to run from the sink in my bathroom. Paper-thin walls allow you to hear your neighbor's conversation. This place is a cheap roadside motel charging $200 a night. The only bright spot is that the bed is comfortable. There's no way I would stay here again.
The hotel ist next to the highway, you can´t even walk to the wharf. You can see and HEAR starting Jets over your head. The manager refused to change money for tips, breakfast was not offered. The sleeping rooms are small but clean, the most comfort was to park the car near your appartment.
Good value, clean and quite too. Would have been nice if bit more for breakfast beside a bar. But had read reviews and knew before that breakfast was not offered.Had a goodnight sleeping on comfortable mattress. Place has a 10 pm quiet in place which was followed.
This hotel started out with very poor customer service. The Owner/Manager definitely lacked personality as he was quite rude from the start. I traveled all night into morning from the East Coast and needed to use the rest room. I was told my room was ready but that I had to pay $51 for early check in. Every hotel should be required to have a rest room in the lobby. At this point I had no choice. After settling in I took a shower and the tub was clogged so I had water coming up way past my ankles and it wouldn't go down. They came to fix it but left all the nasty black stuff in the tub and on the floor without cleaning it up. In addition, they do not clean the rooms and if you need towels you have to go to the front desk. At check out I asked if I could leave my car for a few minutes to get something to eat and he flatly said no. Check out means out. This was my first time and definitely will be the last time staying here.…
We have stayed at this motel when it was under a different name. We found the new named hotel to be very clean, well kept, very comfortable with good service. We had to call on a couple of items and were taken care of immediately. The price is perfect. We will be staying there again. We go to Monterey about 3 times a year to visit family.
I have been staying at the Comfort Inn in Monterey for years for business and leisure. I spent one week at the Comfort Inn in September and the customer service was great! After a very long travel day Felicia went out of her way and above the call of duty to make sure my room was to my liking and to see if she could do anything for me. Customer service does go along way and the staff at this Comfort Inn have always been helpful. This Comfort Inn is 10 minutes from Carmel, five minutes from downtown Monterey, two blocks from the nearest Starbucks and less than five minutes from Seaside Beach it is also close to all the great seafood restaurants in Carmel, Monterey and Seaside. It took me less than five minutes to go to the beach every day in Monterey. My room was great where can you get a room with a queen bed for $77.00 a night during the week during September in high season? Also I would highly recommend going on the Whale Watching sight seeing trips during the week only. I was told they usually have maybe two people on the boat during the week due to Covid Monterey is not getting the International or national tourist. Take advantage of this year of Covid with all the great deals during the week ONLY the week-ends the room prices go up and the town is packed with tourist.…
The room was definitely not up to Comfort Inn standards. The bathroom sink had mold under the lip and at the drain. One of the wash cloths was torn and black with makeup. The head board had greasy head marks on it. The carpet outside the door was filthy and many of the furniture pieces are old and damaged. We only stay at Choice Hotels and this was definitely a disappointment.
