Stayed at this hotel last night. We decided on it because it was actually the cheapest value in the area. Don't be scared by the $100 rooms. After spending $300 per night up in Napa, we just needed a decent spot to rest our heads. This place is clean, roomy, and not too far from the restaurants and things to...

We are in the Monterey area several times a year for business. We have stayed at many different hotels, inns and B&Bs in the area, and were aware of Casa Munras but never had the opportunity to stay there. The a friend, with similar tastes recommended it, so we booked it for this last trip. Great downtown MRY location. Quaint...

Good location is a plus,5 min walk to downtown 10 mins to wharf. Hotel is old but decently maintained, rooms are stuffy but you get what you pay for. Stayed for 3 nights for Big Sur Marathon.Staff were very friendly and accommodating . I wouldn't rely on the concierge for places to eat. He sent me to a steakhouse with only...

We've been to a number of places that allow our maltapoo, but this was one of the nicest (& cleanest!). There was also a wonderful tapas restaurant with a patio so all of us could enjoy the sumptuous food and gentle evening air. We came for the Big Sur marathon but will return again and again.

I booked this hotel through priceline and had the "cozy queen" room which was rather small. This however didnt bother us because we only stayed for one night...but if you are staying any longer consider that before booking...bathroom is super tiny. I live in NY and have stayed at several hotels in Manhattan and this is the smallest room I...

Casa Munras has made a name for itself for its amazing hospitality and historic charm. Every member of the front desk staff seems to be an expert on the city, and totally willing to make your stay at the hotel and in Monterey a memorable experience. I've been to Casa Munras many times and have enjoyed the quality amenities and...

Skip room 111 and definitely don't book through Priceline because you will get a bad room! The "cozy queen" does not have a desk despite the representation made on the hotel's website. Likewise, there is no bath tub, no bath mat and only two towels. We have no curtain in the bathroom, no fridge and no free outlet by the...

I liked: -clean bedding -immaculate room -nice soaps & shampoo -very helpful & knowledgeable staff -big flatscreen TV -walk in closet with door and combination-lock safe -quiet ceiling fan -10 minutes away from Fisherman's Wharf in Monterey Not so much: -pretty small room -thin walls (could hear neighbour's snoring) -no tub, just large shower -no AC -very tight parking access

i loved this quirky hotel, its set up like its own little village and a motel type accommodation, the lower rooms are noisy as old rooms and there was a lot of young men drinking when we went. The bar and restaurant is tiny but the service was good. very close to the waterfront and the bars and restaurants on...
