I called the morning of checkin to see if we could check in early. The agent looked up my reservation and said I could check in at 12:30pm. The room was prepaid and I’d already checked in online. I asked if she was sure because we had an event to go to and would need to shower first. If she wasn’t sure we would shower at the hotel we were already in. She said it would be fine as long as it wasn’t until 12:30 because before 12pm she’d have to charge me an extra $70. We got there at 1:30 and the same agent I’d spoken to on the phone said we could only have a room with 2 queens as opposed to the 2 kings extra large room we’d paid for. I said fine then asked if we’d get a refund for the price difference. She said no because I was choosing to go into the other room. Since it was imperative that we get checked in so we could shower, I agreed. She then said that if I checked into the 2 queens room the price difference was much higher and she wouldn’t do it so I’d have to wait until 3. She then left the front desk and went to the back room and never came back out even when other guests came in to the front desk and stood there waiting. She was quite rude in the fact that she refused to try to do anything beyond what was strictly forced upon her as an employee. Good customer service is everything in a business. All of that being said, the hotel is nice. The extra large room with the 2 king beds that we had reserved was very good sized and we really liked it! We got the feather pillows and they are among the best I have ever slept on in a hotel. The breakfast is delicious and there were even fresh strawberries, another first in a mainstream hotel breakfast. Parking is free, which is great. The TV worked well and included free on demand HBO which was a wonderful surprise. There was no tub in the bathroom but the shower had good water pressure and was very nice. When we checked out the next morning, a different woman was at the front desk and was very sweet and accommodating. She saved this hotel from a bad review. Neither woman was wearing a name tag, but the differentiating feature was the nice lady at the desk had much shorter fingernails. She is an attribute to your business. I wish I had gotten her name. I did read the reviews prior to booking, but I assumed that the reviews claiming poor customer service were just overly sensitive guests. I am now certain that they were referring to the front desk agent with the very long fingernails. Unless she is the owner, you should either reprimand her, or put her someplace where she does not interact with guests! Read all of the reviews, and think about what potential guests are thinking. I won't disregard reviews like that in the future!!!…

This looks to be a newer hotel so I was surprised about the condition, and the lack of cleanliness. Interactions with staff were rude. As a frequent business traveler I stay at a lot of hotels mostly Marriotts, this Marriott is not up to the usual standards. As a gold elite member I am eligible for upgrades but was told that they’re not available for gold elite members. When I questioned this he said oh well there isn’t any availability anyway. I don’t like being lied to, I will not stay here again.

This place is the worst hotel I have ever had to deal with. Horrible customer service and completely rude. Planning a wedding and wanted to give them a lot of business. They wouldn’t accommodate for room blocks and manager wouldn’t respond for several weeks. When she did she put the wrong email and told us there was nothing we could do. Messed up multiple reservations. Booked one rate back in June with a discount and just called to confirm and they want to upcharge 120 dollars. Ultimately left to another hotel. Trust me when I say do not trust this place. Kim needs to go to management training.

Kimberly at the front desk said my bad review didn’t matter because this property is a “third party.” Our group of over 10 rooms were staying here this week for 5 and 6 night stays. Tonight, night 5, we asked Kimberly at the front desk why our rooms were entered by an AC coil cleaning company with ZERO advance notice while we were off the property earlier today. All of us had signed up for ZERO housekeeping so that no one came into our room, yet, today we returned to the property to find out that a 3rd party AC company came into our rooms with ZERO advance notice. In front of 3 separate guests of 3 separate room reservations, Kimberly then commented that she thought that my service dog was not a real service dog, on the FIFTH NIGHT OF MY STAY, which is an ADA violation. Kimberly then was very passive-aggressive and condescending when we asked for her name and said her name to us and then spelled it out for us letter by letter with a smile on her face and then sayid, “it doesn’t matter what you do because we are a third party.” And then she called us “boomers” while she was walking away. As a Gold Elite member of Bonvoy and Platinum American Express holder, this Marriott has not provided the full value of my investment for 6 nights, and the ableist behavior of Kimberly is absolutely disgusting x10. I could add other “quips” that Kimberly had for us during our brief encounter, but I really just want to focus on the parts that are most appalling.…

This is a terrible hotel. Go somewhere else! We specifically requested that housekeeping clean our room for two days in a row and it was not cleaned either day. We asked for a partial refund and were told that all they could do was give us "extra" Marriott points. They just simply DO NOT CARE about providing good service. Also, the "free breakfast" is terrible. The food that should be hot was lukewarm - the breakfast meats, the potatoes and the eggs AND even the oatmeal. Also, the coffee served at breakfast is provided in pump-style thermos jugs that only dispense a small amount of coffee each time you pump them. We tried all of them and they were all that way. It took 15 pumps to fill a coffee cup. Maybe to save money? Also, the "orange juice" served at breakfast tastes terrible and is obviously watered down. Maybe to save money? We will never stay here again. Based on some of the other reviewers' comments we will try the Couryard next time, or maybe better yet, look for some other hotel that is not a Marriott property.…

The hotel was clean, service was great, staff friendly. Close to restaurants , not walking distance but by car just a few minutes. Offered a nice breakfast, with Covid restrictions) but still very nice and had plenty to eat. Felt safe. Its at a dead end but there are furniture stores on other side of road.

I am writing this review to inform other customers who stay here about the good, the bad, and the ugly of my experience. I personally have stayed at a lot of hotels in my life and have never experienced such a bad stay in my life. The hotel management is terrible at communication and in my opinion do not care about customer service. First let me start with the good. Overall, this place is in a great location with a lot of places to eat and visit nearby. The overall appearance of the place is clean, and the rooms were large. Now for the bad. We arrived at the hotel when it was dark out and dropped our stuff off to get something to eat and then rush off to bed. We had to attend an event the next morning very early, so our stay here was going to be very short. Upon driving home after the event later that day I was sent an email that a window was damaged in my room, and I was charged an additional $1000. I WAS SHOCKED! I immediately sent a reply email to the hotel that we didn’t know, nor did we break a window. I also called them and was told that the manager of the store wouldn’t be back till Monday, and they couldn’t do anything else for me. Now the ugly: I called the manager on Monday and was told that they would investigate it and get back to me later that day. Guess what, I never received a call. The next day I called again and was told that the manager would be in, and they took my info. Guess what, I never received a call. I also emailed the General Manager/Hotel multiple times and guess what, I never received a single reply. I did call corporate and filed a claim, but surprisingly, the hotel last week closed the ticket and said they had no proof that it was cracked before me, and it was my fault. This has been going on for several weeks now and the ticket has been reopened and now sent further up the channels to corporate for some sort of resolution and transparency on this issue. Like I said, I have traveled a lot in my life and usually look up reviews on hotels I’m going to stay at. In the case of this hotel, I discovered that other people were charged for dirty towels or smoking in their room, when they denied it. I personally don’t know if these were true, but I ultimately decided “Hey this wouldn’t happen to me” but guess what “IT DID”. Another thing I found interesting was that multiple guests said the hotel had “poor customer service” and guess what, the hotel didn’t even take the time to call me back or even let me know this happen before they charged me. They simply took my money, decided I broke it, and never heard from them again (even though I was told they would email me and call me back). In the end all I can say is “BEWARE” and if you decide to stay here make sure you inspect your room and call out every little thing, because if not you might be charged for something you didn’t do.…

Dear Mr. Rodman, It is a shame an otherwise pleasant stay turned bad due to the unfortunate mishap with the window. As I explained on the phone our cleaning process eliminates anyone from getting blamed for something they did not do. Our team opens the blinds and window when cleaning then closes everything after it is inspected. This is how they were able to catch the crack immediately after your departure. We do not take these things lightly and investigate everything thoroughly. I'm sorry if you felt as if I did not handle this appropriately, it's never pleasant to hear bad news. Upgrades: No upgrades, property seemed pretty empty as well. Property seems pretty new, modern design, it’s at a dead-end road (so very quiet). At 20,000 points per night, it was a sweet deal. Nothing really memorable / stands out with this property.

We’re Bonvoy Gold Elite members so we stay at many Marriott hotels throughout the year. Our family just stayed for a local hockey tournament and the staff and rooms were great. Clean rooms, good facilities and they even opened breakfast a little early so the boys could eat before their early game. Fairfield is not fancy but they did a nice job with this property.

The hotel management were extremely unprofessional with accommodating my family! They could not provide any customer service to their guests! Would definitely recommend better training for hotel management!
