Yes it is old, yes it is basic. However who cares when a motel is maintained as well as this one. All fittings are renewed and the place is spotlessly clean. As we were leaving the Manager was opening all the windows of the changeover rooms so that they would air. This attention to detail includes real coffee cups and...

I am a solo male traveler (59) and stayed two nights at the Sundown Inn in Morro Bay. I want to agree with all of the positive reviews that I have seen on this small mom and pop motel. The Inn's location is a short walk to just about everything in Morro Bay. My room was the nicest of the...

We paid about $60 for one night here and couldn't be more pleased. It's an older motor court-style motel from the '60s. Some owners might just keep it going with coats of paint, stucco, and just-functional, if mismatched, furnishings and accents. But the owners here have chosen to keep the room clean, up-to-date but charmingly retro. Nice new fixtures in...

Clean and comfortable. Beautiful owner who really cares for the motel. Close to the restaurants and bars would definitely stay here again. In this day and age where else would you find a vibrating message bed WoooooHooooo.. no restaurant on site but discounts for local cafés available. Bright and friendly

After a full day at the beach it is great to be staying at a place that is clean, smells clean ( not cover up smell clean either!), well kept with the attention to detail that gives our room " charm". More important however is that the plumbing works well. You want a good hot shower, you got it! Our...

We stayed for 1 night and it was a step back in time. Old but fresh decor. The room was really clean. Small but really fun to stay there. It's ideally placed just a very short walk to the seafront and fantastic restaurants for breakfast and dinner.we would definitely stay again.Give this hotel a you will love it.

It was probably built in the late 40's or 50's. A lot of motels like this are long gone. It is pretty well taken care of. Nice on the inside... decorated nicely. Quiet. It is mostly residential with low traffic volume. Still has key doors.... but that's ok. No extra parking slots. The only real drawback is no breakfast for...

As noted by previous contributors this is an old fashioned motel with limited amenities but it is very clean and comfortable with a friendly, helpful lady in charge. Additionally it is situated handily to explore the resort and walk down to the bars and restaurants on the beach. Our bed had a 'magic fingers vibrating bed (25cents) which was slightly...

Spent one night here on our way from Monterey to LA. Had read the reviews on TA so knew what to expect from the motel room, but even so, after a recent diet of newer Hiltons, Marriotts etc it does come as a surprise to seemingly step back in time to the 70's (or is it the 60's?). Having the...

Stayed here for couple nights. Very clean rooms and with friendly, helpful staff. The location is not ideal, but very close to the waterfront and the ocean. Very good value for your money. I would recommend it to travelers.
