My partner and I walked at Muir Woods and then went to Muir beach. My partner said she always wanted to go to the Pelican Inn so we went for lunch. The atmosphere was great. We sat outside in the enclosed area and had nice pub sandwiches on very delicious bread. The staff was friendly and welcoming. I would recommend...

This is a great place right near Muir Beach. It is romantic and such a different atmosphere than just a typical hotel or inn. The inn is just a two minute walk from the beach and 7 min walk to the zen garden. Over- all it was a great stay but in many places it looks like it could use...

Loved the range of food - salads, banger and mash, cheese plate....great wines...ones I haven't had and didn't know about...stop here...you will love it and it wasn't super crowded either. You can have a picnic on the grounds; just bring a blanket and you'll love being outside.

A quaint inn and pub fashioned after a historic English inn. The downside was that the door frames are low (watch your head!) the rooms a but musty and the atmosphere was dark. The upside were all of the historic decorating touches in all of the spaces. The location was perfect for our trek into Muir Woods the following day....

We were treated horribly. Assumptions were made because we were not a conventional couple. To find such ignorance such a short drive from the bastion of open mindedness that is SF was truly disappointing. Their behaviour was disgusting.

We stop here every time we are at Muir Beach, unless we have come with a picnic in the first place. It is charming, and once you step inside, it feels like a pub in the UK. The food has never been what we called excellent, but it is a nostalgia trip for us to eat here. The service is...

Stayed for one night, & enjoyed the experience- albeit very different from the usual hotel/ motel stays with the Inn"s dark woods, dim lighting, narrow stairs & four poster bed. Have the use of 'The Snug' - a sitting room which would be perfect for fireside relaxation on a wintery day. Would have expected fresh crisp quality linen to be...

As a family we all strongly recommend this unique pub restaurant and lawns just off Pacific Highway 1. We went on a Sunday for their buffet lunch but sadly only 30 minutes before they stopped carving. The meat was great, cooked to perfection and as much as one wanted. The mashed spuds and vegetables were on the turn and there...

I got married at this lovely inn 20 years ago, so to mark our milestone anniversary we decided to come back to the scene of the crime and stay for a night. What's so amazing about the Pelican Inn is that despite it being built in 1969, you feel like you're in inn & pub that feels like it's over...
