Tonight is my first time in Napa and I had the most amazing three course meal at Silverado. Tyler the bartender- he was so kind and kept good energy while making the best cocktails. The banquet captain kept the flow going with his attention to...More
As always, the Silverado Resort provided a flawless stay, and an incredible value, in the Napa Valley Wine Country. From the moment of pulling in and they were waiting for us, through a well equipped check-in, and on to a room that was more than...More

We had a wonderful time at Silverado despite some issues getting settled into the proper rooms for our 3 night stay. Ed and Jeff were fantastic bartenders. They went above and beyond to make variations of drinks that were not necessarily within the range of...More
I just completed a conference at the Silverado Resort & Spa. The front desk is beyond unorganized, they don't give your guests the rooms they book (ie. you book a room with 2 beds, they give you a king so your kids have to sleep...More
I had a wonderful time at the Silverado resort. Even more impressing was the staff at The Grill, the restaurant on site. I was taken care of by a wonderful waitress by the name of Nataly. It was her first week working there but she...More

You really need to hire a driver and then plan out your daily itinerary. We had a driver pick us up around noon each day (or earlier on a couple days) and take us from tasting appointment to tasting appointment. We ended at a dinner location (make reservations..) and then just took a taxi back. Black Tie Taxi was great, but restaurant can arrange pick up easily for you. We used @ExecutiveCarService, Andre is the owner and he was awesome. He was able to get appointments for us at wineries that I was not able to get into as they were booked...he knows some great spots that you won't think of...So not having a car is really a bonus is you can have a driver with inside contacts. Also...the police sit outside of the wineries just waiting for wine tasters who have one tasting too many.... So in my opinion, a driver is the way to go. (I do think you can use a taxi service if you are just going to one or 2 wineries that are near each other ...or heading into Yountville to do some tastings at some of the tasting rooms and then dinner, but if you want to really experience some of the best wineries, and there are many, and they are not all close together, then a driver is the way to go)
