The room was adequate, however, it had just been cleaned but had a strong cleanser odor that stayed during the time I was there. Also, the air conditioner put out a smell that wasn’t pleasant. To me, the air conditioner was like a dirty sock smell. The comforter had several cigarette burn holes in it.
Worst hotel experience ever, was given a room with a broken bed, no garbage can in the room, what looked like coughed up phlegm on light switch, metal trim on entry door had jagged piece dangling off bottom that cut my wife's leg, sink was disgusting as well as floor. After complaining we were sent a letter saying we were refunded night stay but 3 weeks later still haven't seen anything.
There is an alarming amount of trash all over the walkways on the second floor. When I informed the desk agent, she said, "I know. Someone will take care of it tomorrow." My room had no soap, shampoo, or wastebasket, or phone. I asked the desk for a wastebasket and they told me that I could have a trash bag. Someone had stolen a lot of the wastebaskets on the weekend of July 4. The AC in our room took more than three hours to bring the room down below 80 degrees. (To be fair, it was 122 outside.) It was reasonably clean inside of the room. There were only three towels left in the bathroom - no hand towels and no washcloths. More money needs to be spent by the owners to bring this place up to snuff.
This was the worst Motel 6 I have ever stayed at - EVER! We were put in the very back - where it was noisy with people letting their little dog run around, they were outside smoking and being loud. The people above us where constantly moving around and it was super noisy in our room (my cats were freaking out in both of the rooms we had because of this). The room smelled like smoke even though the linens did not. One bedspread appeared to have a cigarette burn on it (with a hole) and the other one (the bed I was on) appeared to have blood stains on it. Neither of us slept under the covers that night since everything was so disgusting. We froze all night because we didn't want to turn on the heater in case that was where the smoke smell was coming from and the unit itself looked disgusting. The towels were so thin as well. The shower looked gross (in both rooms) so none of us (three total) took showers that morning either. Thank goodness we were only there one night and just for barely 12 hours or so. I couldn't wait to get out of there. I did not expect this in Needles which is a resort-type town too. I will never, ever, ever stay here again.…
Avoid this motel at all costs. After a long, hot 9+ hour drive from the Bay Area with my young family of 4 plus a dog, we arrived at the front desk, and only upon arrival were we told by the clerk that they were having a beetle infestation. The clerk made it sound like the beetles were a minor presence and that they had made a huge effort to clean them out and they were not a nuisance, so we got our key and entered the room only to find beetles in the shower (along with stray hairs), beetles on the floor, and beetles in the bed. We immediately told the clerk that this room wouldn’t work for us, and she said one other room is available, but it has the same issue with beetles. Motel 6 promises "Clean, comfortable rooms and great experiences,” which neither available room came close to fulfilling, so we told the clerk we would not be staying at the motel, and would like a refund. She informed us that only the manager could approve that, and he is currently unreachable, and lives out of state. She assured us that if we called back later, she would put us in touch with him. Fast forward almost two weeks later. After almost daily phone calls to the Needles Motel 6 and corporate HQ seeking a refund, not one returned phone call. By the looks of it, the manager, Mark Patel, is ducking us (I could think of a stronger word), and HQ is claiming it’s not their responsibility to issue refunds for individually owned franchises. This is a fraud and a sham. We’re just trying to get out measly $99 back, and the fact is the room is hardly worth half that in the motel’s currently dirty and dilapidated condition.…
My sister is traveling across the country and needed a quick stay to get some rest. We booked a room for her from where we are in Texas, to stay at this motel. Upon her attempt to check-in, she was informed that two reservations were booked for her, which seems to have been a mistake on part of the booking agent. My sister booked directly with the hotel and checked in. Upon trying to cancel the extra reservations so we would not incur charges, the agent said that we need to contact the hotel directly. We called the motel back and a man answered the phone and tried to direct us again to Booking.com. He became frustrated and yelled, “You know what” and put me on indefinite hold. When I called back in another attempt to resolve this matter, Sonia answered. Before informing her of the reason for my call, which was to confirm that the Priceline reservation was canceled and inquire about the Booking.com reservation, Sonia became very upset and yelled that I need to contact Booking.com. She continued to scream that I would be charged if I didn’t have it canceled within an hour (it was already 5 PM) and that it didn’t matter what I said because they are a franchise and can do whatever they like. She continued yelling for another 2 minutes and said “We can refuse service to whoever we want b***h” and hung up the phone. Hands down, the worst experience I have ever had with any company.…
My husband and I ended up posting up in Needles for the night after a series of traffic jams starting in LA derailed our plans to spend the night in Arizona. When I called the Motel 6 in Needles at 11 p.m. to ask if they had any rooms and allowed guests to bring pets, they said that we were welcome to bring our cat into the room! We arrived late in the night, but our check-in clerk Kimberly was friendly and alert and ready to answer questions. Since it was the 3rd of August, it was HOT in Needles, even at 2:30 a.m.. Our first room wasn't getting cool and we feared that we were in for a miserable night. After a quick call to the front desk, the clerk transferred us to a room that had a much better air conditioner and ground floor access - helpful because we had to bring a lot of our things in from the car so they wouldn't melt or be damaged by the heat. We even were able to make arrangements with the front desk to be charged for a second day so that we could sleep, relax until about 3 p.m., and then begin driving after the worst heat of the day was past. Kimberly ensured that we wouldn't be woken up by the next shift's clerk or the housekeeping in the morning. Our room was large and clean, although the paint was a bit the worse for wear on one wall. There was a large accessible shower - good for people with limited mobility. Sadly, the TV only got CNN, but we did get a good night of sleep and were well-rested for the next day of our cross-country move.…
First room was smoked in. second room upstairs had wifi, that didnt work. It might have but google would not let me click through cause the wifi was not secure and nothing worked, couldnt netflix or even check my gmail. and i got up in the morning to take a shower to find no towel. had to use the tiny floor mat. room smelled smoke-free, that was nice but there was no soundproofing... in a tiny town, in the middle of the desert, it was "fine" for a tired single guy. for a family, maybe not so much. dont know what the other options are but if i drive through again, i will probably stay there cause of its location but only if i am by myself. Also-no bathtub. showers only.
We came into the first room and checked the beds first. Both of them had stains. We asked for another room, which was no problem. BUT the other room was worse: there was a blood stain on the sheet and several dead bugs on the floor. We decided to leave the motel and we got money back. (The woman understood our problem)
We routinely stay at Motel 6 locations when we travel in the USA since the chain is pet friendly and we travel with our dog. This location was horrible! They were currently experiencing a beetle infestation and had signs posted in the lobby stating that the bugs were harmless and they were doing everything possible to eliminate them. Maybe so, but we had hundreds of them in our room and it was gross. The toilet was loose from the floor, the bathroom vent fan cover was broken, there was foreign material splattered on the walls several places (looked a bit like blood!), and we were greeted by a large wad of what appeared to be human hair in the bathroom sink. Add the bugs to the mix, and you've got a motel that needs a new cleaning staff and a replacement manager. We had driven over 15 hours that day and it was very late when we arrived, so we had limited options traveling with our dog and decided to make the best of it. We couldn't leave there fast enough! Avoid this Motel 6 at all costs until they get it together!!!!!…
