We were overnight in Needles. This property was a great find. Very clean, great staff. Breakfast was OK, typical. The hotel was 100% full. BNSF staff stay there. Pool and BBQ outside where they were treating themselves to BBQ steak and fix-ins. Property is a bit confusing. Its two connected buildings. One is Roadway Inn, and one is Quality Suites. They share the lobby, pool, and breakfast room. There is no signage outside the lobby. I drove around the property to find the Roadway lobby. Finding no other lobbies, I went it to one I passed. I services both properties. Would be nice to have a "registration" sign and signs for each property visible. So shop for the better price between the two, and you still have the same public spaces.
have stayed here a few times there seems to be a shortage of wash clothes . Either the housekeeping doesnt put them in the rooms or there arent any to use just seems weird not to have hand towels or wash cloths
Beds are hard! Maids are loud 😒 as if they are intentionally trying to be loud. Maybe I have bionic hearing or they have paper thin walls. 😂 I got zero rest what so ever. I stood only a night but let me tell you it felt as a waste waking up feeling like crap.
We called ahead to find a room and the availability and price was right on this one. The room was clean, bed was very comfortable and centrally located. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good with lots of variety and the attendant made sure things were filled for the influx of people. The only drawback was there were a lot of construction workers staying here and they gathered right below our room and the noise level didn't subside until about 10:00.
Ive been here about 3 times its my go to stop and sleep. Its just so quiet and nice. Nobody bothers anybody. Staff is super friendly. Im looking forward to my next stay here. Probably soon for a little get away. You will enjoy your stay for sure. Well worth it.
We stopped here on a motorcycle trip. We stayed on the Comfort Inn side of Rodeway. Our room was beautiful & very comfortable. The view of the mountain range was really pretty in the morning. It's convenient to I-40 with several restaurant options just down the highway.
Well, I agree with the negative comments- pictures looked great but not what we saw when we got there. We don't want much, just a clean room with decent beds- it did have decent beds (more on them later). They charged us extra for our 2 cats, but the room was filthy- I don't think it had been vacuumed in days. I complained to the owner's wife the next morning- wanted my extra deposit for cleaning because of the cats refunded- she said they never give anyone their money back. We were told we could have a king bed when we made the reservation but when we got into the room it had 2 queens- I called the owner from my cell phone (because he wouldn't answer the hotel phone) and he said that none of the rooms have king beds "because he has trouble with them". And some of the other people staying there were a little scary- been living there for weeks…
We had a comfortable stay here, the pool was really warm and we had it to ourselves. The night we stopped we sat in the pool area and it was like some one was pointing a giant hair dryer at you, it was so hot. There seems to be a lot of BNSF employees coming and going but this did not interfere with our stay. We really enjoyed it and would reccomend any one doing " Route 66 " to stop off here. Plus points were there is a M'c D's a two minute walk away and coffee was available in a vending area next to reception. Good value accommodation.
Since we were traveling with a large trailer with motorcycle and other goods, we had to plan stops. Since there is nothing between Needles and Barstow, we did not have much choice--wish we'd tried the Best Western even though not as accessible from I40. Very run down and lobby smells like alcoholics peed on the carpet. They really airbrushed their photos as the place does not look anywhere that good. Room had stains on carpet and chairs. Very outdated--just formica counters etc--and they do not have king beds in any rooms. We booked the highest priced suite, but don't think that really made any difference in what you get. Would never stay here again!
We were desperate, it was getting late and we'd been driving for hours. There were flash floods all around us so we tossed a coin and settled for Rodeway Inn & Suites - thinking "suites" can't be too bad. Hah! The room reeked of cat pee but I think it was just mildew. It STUNK! The carpet was stained with black God knows what. There were no washcloths, one hand towel and 3 bath towels. The towels were all dirty gray in color (literally), one of the bath towels was frayed and had black and orange stains - could have been dirt - on it. I threw it away and left the manager a note that he/she should never have let a customer see that towel. The beds were surprisingly comfortable - I did indeed check for bed bugs and thankfully saw none. It cost us just $59.39 including tax which I think is far too much for a dump like this one.…
