Great hotel, great location just off of Hwy 880. Took us 25 mins to downtown SF, less to San Jose. We booked this on a Site 59 deal. Easy to find from the Hwy, close to malls, tons of food places around, great hwy links. Staff very pleasent and always happy to help. Free parking. Free business office with computer with internet. Free breakfast every morning. If your looking to explore the Bay Area and not just SF, or dont want to pay the expensive parking prices in downtown SF, this is the hotel for you.

I visited this hotel twice: at the beginning and at the end of my 2009 trip in the USA. The rooms were fine, the persons at the frontdesk were friendly, the breakfast was okay. The only thing that bothered me was the noise from a nearby mexican bar of restaurant: loud music in the afternoon and in the evening on Saturdays en Sundays. If possible, ask for a room on the frontside of the hotel.

i must say the new owners have done a great job at improving this hotel. They have within the last month changed all the beds in the hotel, put refrigerators in all rooms and painted the outside of the hotel. The hotel is very close to numerous restaurants. I have stayed weeks at a time and they have a great staff.

Room 409 4/12/13,
We were going to Fremont for a Family Reunion, had several reservations. I confirmed requested room. Informed the front desk we'll arriving late.
Was re-assured all was set, and will be ready. , " No problem" given.
When we arrived, I was informed " No roll away bed available anymore"
I was upset, this is the reason why I called and confirmed this morning... and it is extra charge for it.
she stated then "I'm sorry about that, but we don't changed for it.
I told her, we must have a other bed.
She called her supervisor and then magically there was a roll a way after all.
When I pulled down the linens, I found TWO (2) rat poop -I have pictures!!!
I was sick to my stomach, I called front desk,
She gave us clean linen, took a picture too, and removed old ones.
I want to leave right there and then, but it was very late already.
My son didn't want to sleep in it; he didn't go under the covers.
Needless to said, I was glad we were leaving in the morning. there was a $50 charge for it too.
I will NEVER, EVER book another room with the Comfort Inn.

So the ringer is that I left two cashmere sweater and my phone charger in the room and the to hotel is unable to find them. Yes it was my fault for leaving them there and yes I take responsibility for my actions. But this seems odd. Cashmere is nice of course.

I will continue to use Comfort Inn because I am now traveling heavily for business. Thanks.

Stayed here on weekend of Sept. 10. Had no problem with the staff, (although I only had to deal with them at check-in). Wireless internet was kind of slow, but it did work, continetal breakfeast was above average (bagel, french toast, coffee, juice, cereal, etc, was stocked 2 times while I was eating). Location was close to freeway (less than 5 min). My only problem is that it is kind of an older building, and the elevator is very slow. Other than that I was satisfied.

Before this place turned into a Comfort Inn, it used to be a Holiday Inn Express and from the looks of it, I can understand why the Holiday Inn chain decided to pull it's flag.

The hotel has seen it's better days, inside and out. We arrived in the evening and the entire parking lot was dark and felt unsafe like my car could easily get broken into. Not sure if their lighting was not working, so I'm hoping it was just that one fluke.

The lobby is far from appealing and the furnishings were quite dated. Upon walking through the hallway to get to the room, it felt creepy as if some drug deal was going on behind one of the guestroom doors. Okay, maybe that's too dramatic but, I didn't like seeing that trash can in the hallway to catch the water from a leaking ceiling.

The room looked clean, but didn't feel clean. There were huge stains on the desk chair and the large corner chair. The stains were so bad, you'd want a towel on it before sitting on it, much less, just to look at. I was just so grossed out I didn't sit on either. The carpets didn't feel clean either so I never walked on it with bare feet. The bed and linen were decent though. Definitely not a fan of the huge tube TV.

The bathroom for the most part was clean. There however was mildew on the caulking around the vanity and near the tub.

Now why on earth would I stay at this hotel? My parents were in town and their organization was hosting their event here as well so I paid them a visit since it's not too far away, not to mention I don't seem them often enough as I should.

Speaking of the event, they had a meeting room that was roughly 1,600sf if I had to guess. They were having an evening dinner and I have no clue why the room was setup classroom style with rows of tables instead of rounds. Maybe it was to maximize the attendance but it was tight. The meeting room was in bad shape and I'd seriously not consider this hotel for your business presentation meeting to potential clients, that's for sure.

Overall, I'd never stay at this hotel again, there are a few better choices in the surrounding area. Just remember, you get what you pay for.

I came here for one night during an exhausting, stressful trip, and it was a wonderful place to rest. I wished I could have extended my stay but they couldn't give me the great $43 rate I got on Hotwire. The staff here is SO helpful, friendly, and genuinely sweet. The woman at the front desk allowed me to switch rooms so I could have a microwave and fridge, and they let me check out an hour late. The place is very roomy and looks old in some areas, but the rooms are very clean, the toiletries are nice and bathrooms in good order. Wifi is free and the connection is strong. The breakfast selection is very good, although it would be nice if they had eggs/yogurt and not just apples and oranges for healthy-eating people. You can make your own waffles and the poppy seed muffins looked good. They have a fitness room but I didn't get a chance to use it, though it is open 24 hours.
Overall, a very convenient, comfortable, welcoming place. I would definitely recommend it.

Now a Comfort Inn & Suites...................My first stay ever with a Comfort Inn and i must say i'm totally blown away with the service and staff of this establishment. By far the best housekeeping staff i encounter on any trip in the past 20 years. Quick, efficent, and clean, clean, clean. Front Desk very friendly and helpful, free breakfast buffet better then most, location easily available to BART system to take you up to San Francisco or Oakland, 10 minute drive to San Jose. Did i mention this place is CLEAN and friendly to boot............................Loved It.
