After reading other reviews I was a little concerned about our stay but found it to be clean and comfortable. The lady at the front desk was very friendly. The hotel is walking distance to town. There's a nice pool and Jacuzzi. The furniture in the room is a little tired but the bed was comfortable, sheets clean, shower/bathroom clean....

I think the problem with the Chantico Inn is that despite the Spanish exterior, it is more like a roadside motel than an inn. This place desperately needs an update - the rooms are dingy (I saw 3), my sink didn't drain, and the room smelled of old smoke and mildew. They should not allow smoking on the property, and...

The architecture of this place is wonderful. The staff is attentive and gracious. Although not very old, it looks very much like California Missions and the Avila Adobe in many ways inside and outside. There are many arches. Upstairs each room has a balcony space, downstairs each room has a patio with a tiled table and space for 2-4 chairs....

I really liked the location which was walking distance to Ojai Valley Inn and Spa as well as the city park. We walked to both. This hotel does not have a bar but you can purchase drinks across the street at the liquor store and sip them by the pool. The room is very dark but the old furniture makes...

It looks charming from the outside and it seemed great that each room had a little private patio area. The room was a surprise. We had no idea that there would be a big spa tub in the room! It was just kind of odd!! It was clean and comfortable but i wouldn't stay there again. The breakfast bar had...

Reviews told me to not expect much from the continental breakfast. Wednesday at 8:30am a sign says "out of milk." Too bad, because I always have cereal. Thursday at 7:30am, same sign, "out of milk." Turns out that milk is delivered once a week, on Thursday at 3pm. Impressive. The happy hour wine is "Livingston' in the double bottle. The...

1) The Wi-Fi barely exists. Good luck with streaming. 2) I needed some help at the front desk; no one was there. I waited 15 minutes and finally left a voicemail asking them to call me at my room. Nope. I've never actually had that experience. 3) Instead of a closet or armoire, there was a bar with five hooks....

The rooms are clean and the climate inside of the rooms is very good and comfortable. The pool and Jacuzzi were very nice. For the price we paid it was worth the money. Please don't expect much from their continental breakfast you will be disappointed. Go out and have breakfast. There was one bad moment, we got stuck outside of...

We booked this last minute so there weren't many options left for a one-night stay on a Friday night in Ojai. One of the stars is for being one of the "cheaper" options, the other star is for location. Other than that, the room wasn't very clean--chipped pain in the bathroom, weird, old furniture that didn't seem to serve a...

If dirty floors, sinks that don't drain and toilets that run are things you look for in a quaint inn located in the wonderful town or Ojai this is the place to stay. When we come back, this will not be the place we stay. The positive was a firm King sized but then again the sheets didn't really fit.
