BLOOD stains on the bed sheets/pillows, random hairs on the pillow, white stains on the chair and couch, stains all over the floor, light fixture in the bathroom was uncovered and had bugs flying out of it, and the pipe under the sink was leaking all over the carpet so had to walk across a soaked floor anytime to use the restroom. If you are considering staying here, just sleep in your car
Upon check in our room was missing, hand towels, wash cloths, floor mat, cups and bath may. Room was missing a "Do Not Disturb Sign" and the emergency exit sign. V. Upon check in the front desk said the outside hot tub was in working order, sadly, this was not the case. The day we were to check out, we asked for an extra 1/2 hour to check out and about 11:15am. knock on the door, it was housekeeping. I explained that check out was noon and we had an extra 1/2 hour. Housekeeping said they would come back and so they did, at noon and again at 12:17, by that time I was unhappy and called down to the front desk to complain. The girl working the front desk said she would notify housekeeping. I just don't understand why that wasn't already down. Couple more issues with my stay, breakfast was ok, however, by the area where you get breakfast juice, I saw a woman almost trip and fall because the floor was missing a piece of molding. This hotel has a No Pet policy and the room across, someone had a very small dog tied to the outside railing on the upper floor. I called down to the front desk because the poor dog was crying. Lots of hotel staff around and apparently nothing was reported until I called.…
This is not a luxurious hotel, but it's a decent 2 star motel. The room was clean and large with 2 queen beds, a refrigerator and microwave, but the switch on the desk lamp was broken, so the room was a bit dark. Parking and wifi are free, although the latter was a bit slow. The free breakfast was good -- waffles, sausage, scrambled eggs, etc., comparable to Holiday Inn Express. It has a pool, but I'm not sure if it's heated. The location is not ideal -- almost 4 miles from the 101 freeway, yet not on the coast either. On the other hand, it was more reasonably priced than the other options we considered on a busy holiday weekend.
Upon arrival the receptionist was friendly and helpful, all looked well at first look in the room. But it became clear that the room was only surface clean! The carpets are filthy! The rooms need some attention on fixtures and fittings ( rust on toilet paper holder etc, paint flaking). We asked for towels for the pool which we were told would be sent straight up, but we gave up waiting after 40+ minutes. The pool area was lovely and clean. Quite a lot of noise from other room over night and first thing in the morning, it seems lots of these rooms are used by workers with their vans/lorries. Lots of cigarette ends and bottle tops laying around outside. Breakfast wasn't worth it. To start with we were ignored by 2 members off staff who carried on talking with each other. The little food that there was was of very poor quality (I couldn't face eating here!) a waffle maker, cereal (oatmeal) in packets and water. The coffee wasn't of good quality either. Fortunately we were only here for the night and we will not be making a return visit unless things really improve.…
The time the breakfast is served was not provided to us by the receptionists. There was no sign anywhere (room, reception or breakfast room). At 8:00 AM the door was locked. No refund was given to us (my wife and daughter are disabled). The manager ignored our complaint.
Had 3 rooms booked overnight - one room had no A/C and broken ceiling fan, another had brown water come out of both bathroom sinks and the 3rd had large black stains on carpet. No hand towels provided in any rooms. Light fixtures uncovered and one bathroom light fixture coming out of ceiling. Contacted manager - no response. Pool and ice machine out of service. Would never stay here again.
We just needed a place to sleep before heading out to Channel Islands National Park in the morning. When we arrived there was a wedding or some kind of event going on in the room right above the lobby. The music was loud...so loud that we could barely hear the girl at the front desk. She was apologetic and very nice, and she was clearly annoyed with the event guests as well. There were small children running all around from the event as well. It was 9:00 when we checked in and the clerk said that the event was due to end at 10:00 and assured me that our room was far away. It wasn't far enough away and the music was still going well past 11:00. I was disappointed that the hotel management did not handle their event better, to the inconvenience of every other guest in the hotel. The hotel is basic, but had what we needed. Without the noise, maybe it would have been okay.…
The wifi didn't reach to our room and when we used it during breakfast it was kind of slow (but the breakfast was enjoyable so that's a plus). There was no shower curtain so the bathroom was floated most of the time, the toilet also struggled with the flushing sometimes. Unfortunately we had to ask the lady behind the counter at the front desk a few questions and she seemed bothered with us being there while we checked in, so she could've been more welcoming. But the beds were alright and the room big so that counts for something.
I was really surprised. I booked a 3 rooms for my family from hotels.com for 1 night because it was very cheap. When i got to the hotel they told me that they receive from hotel.com only 2 rooms. Because there wasn't any regular room available they upgarde me for a complimentry 3 suits! The room was very comfortable, but no elevaor, the breakfast was an ordinary American breakfast but was good though. I really recommended on this hotel!
The hotel parking lot was very unsavory to say the least! Watched a Big Black SUV pulled in and the driver just sat there playing obnoxious music, as a girl 30ish got of the car and went to a room. She emerged after ½ hour ~ 45 min then went down the hall knocking on doors talked to several people then went into another room for 45 mins. Saw this repeated several times. – use your own judgment as to what went on. 2 days later she was back same thing……….. disgusting!
