Love the historic hotel. So cute, front desk lady was an absolute doll! Easy walking to restaurants. I feel this cute place is a hidden gem! We stayed in room 32, little bit of a view, but it is not a dark room. So if you like a dark room, ask for a dark room.

I was in town visiting my son and had a last-minute flight cancellation. I called Centrella and they couldn’t have been more accommodating Veronica at the front desk is one of the most helpful people I have encountered. I had stayed at five different hotels in five days and by far the best experience was at Centrella they go so overboard to make sure you have everything you need, I can’t wait to go back

Great stay with lots of historic charm in an awesome location. We walked to restaurants, along the shoreline, even to the aquarium. It’s really fun staying in places with so much character. We stayed in level 3 and think this was a good decision, as this is an old creaky building. The seagulls still welcomed us to the morning every day with their “singing” right over our skylight. The king suite was huge. Service was very friendly and the free nightly glass of wine and morning parfaits were welcomed. Parking was always easy even during our holiday weekend stay. We alway found street parking within a block.

This was a flashback to our days of bed and breakfasts and a reminder why we loved them so much! Personal service and great little touches. The small things matter. This is a place we would stay again - clean, close to the beach and amazing environment!

Clean room with a sitting area in an alcove and a good bed. Our room was by the front door, traffic in and out the door and the traffic at the stop sign made it difficult to sleep. Cookies in the lobby were a nice touch and Toni at the front desk was helpful. An Indian man that I assume is the owner used the front porch as his “office” and some of his discussions would have been better held inside where guests couldn’t hear them.

This was my 2nd stay at Centrella Inn. The room was nice and clean, though small. Shower was great. Fresh pillows, a small refrigerator and a desk for a laptop would be nice. would recommend and hope to stay again. Location is perfect, and no question about the charm <3

The positive aspects are the staff is very helpful and friendly and the location is good. Walking distance to the beach and downtown shopping/ restaurant district. The negative aspects are there are 5 off street parking spaces for 35 rooms. Those guests that are not lucky enough to get one of the 5 spots have to cruise the streets looking for a place to park. The room did not have a closet or a dresser. Very limited space in an armoire. The bathroom had very limited storage space. They serve the same breakfast every day. How many days can you eat you get and scones. In retrospect this would be an acceptable place for one or possibly two nights but not the five nights I stayed there

We loved staying here over the holiday weekend. The cottage was the perfect size for our family of 3 (2 adults and a 10 month old). We called ahead to request a pack n play and it was in the room when we arrived. Would recommend staying here to all!

Just a few blocks to downtown PG. We even walked to downtown Monterey, nice stroll along a great path. Employees were all great, very friendly and helpful too. Morning yogurt, fruit and scones were very good but it would have been nice to offer a few other options over a multiple day stay. They served wine every evening and always had cookies waiting when we came in later in the evening. We also enjoyed sitting outside drinking our morning coffee. The room was small but clean. My only real issue was the squeaky stairs. We happened to be in room 7 at the base of the stairs. Very loud every time someone walked up or down.

We extended our stay here by a day. It's a 130-year old building, modernised but not excessively. Inside it has a definite Victorian feel, slightly eccentric. The rooms are large light and airy, furnished with antiques but not so you are afraid to touch anything. The whole place has a spacious feel, but not exactly luxurious. No lifts. Our first room was a suite on the 2d floor. The bathroom was in between the bedroom and the sitting room -- eccentric. But it was really nice, with lord knows how many windows. Then we moved to a room on the ground floor, nice large bathroom. Location is superb, 5 minutes walk from Lovers Point beach/park, with 2 small beaches, icecreams, bicycle hire, kayak hire, cafe, restaurant and 5 minutes walk from the centre of Pacific Grove, with at least half a dozen decent restaurants. It's so quiet once on our way back from the beach we met a doe and two fauns walking up the road. It was a lovely walk about 30 mins along the shore to the Monterey Aquarium. Breakfast is cold stuff yoghourt, berries that sort of thing, which you eat inside or preferably outside at tables in the pretty yard. Free glass of wine in the evening, but we never made it for this -- too much to do and see. Friendly and helpful reception. Parking on the street, but freely available and safe.
