The room was very basic, but clean and our view from the third floor of Monterey Bay and Lover's Point Park was stunning. It was obvious that they were in the process of renovating the exterior of the property with fresh paint and what looked like new doors, but getting to the office and the rooms required stepping up a couple of steep steps from the parking area, so not very handicapped accessible, unless I overlooked a ramp. Did like the glass elevator so you could take in the view going up.

The location is great. The view is good is you stay on the 2nd or 3rd floor. The room is dated, the breakfast area substandard. Bicycle rental place across the street at beach. Not fancy, but price is reasonable.

This place is okay but is really worn out. The facade looks dingy and there are big chips in the porcelain of the tub. My friend didn't like the way the room smelled. We both thought that the online photos were misleading.

We were on the second floor - I imagine that the views from the third and fourth floors are fabulous.
It was safe and clean so if you want proximity to Lovers Point and downtown Pacific Grove, this place is good for that.

Prior to coming I contacted the hotel about the rooms but they didn’t respond which should’ve been a sign as on arrival the reception was closed until 830pm! I appreciate there are always circumstances beyond their control but not to contact me wasn’t good as we had all of our valuables in the car for several hours.
Also despite booking the hotel for breakfast it stated on piece of handwritten paper in the door that there was no breakfast being served.
The room itself was ok but basic.
The icing on the cake was that road construction teams were working directly on the main road before 7am.
It’s now 730 and it sounds like a building site. Again this could’ve been passed on & i’d have booked elsewhere
You get what you pay for but a basic level of communication costs nothing.

Staff was friendly, but great things ended there. NO A/C at all. Room was very hot inside, which made it difficult to sleep. I opened the windows, hoping to cool it off, but the kids and I were getting overwhelmed with marijuana smells from balcony. No breakfast (due to covid, of course). Very few spots to park for vehicles over 6’. Most parking garages fit up to 6’7” or 6’8”, but not this one. They should require cars to park in garage to give trucks parking in the 12 other spots. Walls were paper thin. Above occupants were very noisy and they were easily heard until after midnight. We also received phone call at 6:30 am to see if we would need housekeeping on that day. We were trying to sleep in. That is the main thing that prompted the review. There was a tower fan in the room that barely worked. When it did work, it was too noisy to sleep with it on. If it was consistent noise, I could sleep. This was a roar that wasn’t consistent. It would roar every few minutes, just often enough to wake you up. After the second night, we really just wanted to leave. We ended up staying a third and left early the next morning. I would find another location if I had to do again

This place is a dump! Room smelled like a gallon of bleach, had trouble breathing. They told us they gave us an upgrade from the room we booked, oh my gosh, what was that room like? Heater didn’t work, hole in the door, I think it would’ve been way better to pitch a tent in the park across the street, it was very dated, and not very functional. $240 wasted they used to have a full breakfast in the morning, to add insult to injury, that is now nonexistent. There are very few redeeming qualities at this place if you stay there, I’m sure you’ll write a review like this of your own .

The location, right across the iconic Lover's Point Park, Beach and walking trail is absolutely unbeatable. You're also a few steps walk to charming downtown Pacific Grove with coffee shops, bakeries, restaurants and pubs-- all within a mile of the hotel. The staff was fantastic, especially Daniel at the front desk. The beds and pillows gave us all the very best comfortable sleep we could remember in a long long time. The ocean waves crashing on the rocks steps away from our hotel didn't hurt to lull us to sleep after a perfect getaway to Pacific Grove.

As nearly every review states, this place is in an excellent location. But that's probably the only thing keeping this property going. I understand if a property is a bit dated, but I don't think that this property has been renovated. Ever. It reminds me of the ghost town of Bodie, which is in "arrested decay". A splash of paint, a bit of plaster, and keep on renting the rooms out.
Our August stay would not have been so bad if the room wasn't dusty and dirty overall. It needed a deep cleaning. If you don't mind a dirty Motel 6, then this will be just fine for you. We didn't expect 5-star luxury, we just wanted a clean place to stay.
I found a nice, clean, bed and breakfast very close by for a more recent stay, for the same price as this property. If you're reading this on a web site, I'm sure you can find it.

The hotel was not at all what we head expected the rooms are small and dated furniture, the cofee machine was so small and there is only enought to make a couple of cups. For the price we paid you would expect better rooms. It is not very ADA friendly, in order for you to get to the room you would hve to go all of the way to the end of the complex. They had one elevator which was located in the middle , the stairs were at the frontby check in. Had to complain to the front desk about the room needed cleaning was told we had to put out the SIGN for servie? We would not stay there again when we go up North

We paid $225 a night thinking that was a pretty good price for the coast. We assumed wrong. The hotel had a great view of the ocean but that was it. The hotel is really beat up and not taken care of. The walls are paper thin, we had neighbors trying to hack up a lung until 12:30 at night. They are not practicing good Covid rules. The elevator was filthy and the sign basically said don’t touch anything. The place was very loud and not restful. We would not recommend it to anyone.
