The Hyatt Palm Springs is in a great location in downtown Palm Springs. Hotel parking is very convenient and close to the hotel elevator. I like the open layout of the hotel. As a women it made me feel more safe. The hotel is clean. My room was spacious, clean, and had everything I needed. The hotel is also dog friendly which is a plus. I also liked that I could walk to restaurants.

Perfect location on N Palm Canyon, short walks to everything needed, great friendly staff, large rooms and lots of street parking for large SUV’s like we had. The pool looked great but never made it 🤔 The rooms do need some work, a bit tired but offer fair value for what we paid. The GM/Joe is hands on and attentive when needed. We’ll be back 👌

DO NOT STAY HERE. UNSAFE AND UNSANITARY. NOTE: We have stayed at this hotel twice previously, and while it did seem a bit rundown before, it is now a health and safety issue. We also understand that due to the pandemic, many businesses are dealing with staffing issues but our experience goes way beyond staffing issues. We stayed MLK weekend for one night in Room 109. My friend paid for the room using her Globalist points (her initials are KZ in case management cares). First off, we are in a global pandemic and Palm Springs in general is taking it seriously. Masking is required everywhere except this hotel apparently. No one in lobby wearing masks, it was not being enforced or even mentioned to the multiple guests walking around without masks. After being told we were being upgraded to a cabana room, we checked in to find that our room was actually right on the lobby. As two people traveling, who have stayed in this hotel before, we were not happy to discover our room had one king bed and one tiny leather loveseat. We went back to the front desk and spoke with Thomas about the possibility of a room change. Thomas was immediately rude and hostile, telling us that 5 more groups were due to heck in and that the hotel was "very busy". After telling him multiple times that we understood and were just looking for a room where two people could have separate sleeping areas he mentioned that he thought the loveseat was a pullout couch. After confirming with his manager, Joe, we said great and could we have it made up while we headed out for dinner. Both men agreed that this would happen. We headed out for dinner shortly before 6:30pm, stopping at the front desk to remind Joe. He wrote it down on a pad of paper and said it would be done when we returned. At 9:30pm we returned to the room and the bed was still not made up. We called Joe and he said okay, I'll have someone come by. Joe showed up with sheets around 10 and basically threw a pile of sheets and a lightweight blanket them at us. We asked for him to make up bed, to which he responded " we don’t normally do this but we can try." Not even sure what that means but okay. After much huffing and puffing and pretending to make the bed we told him we'd just do it. This is literally the oldest, most stained mattress I've ever seen. Ever. Looks like the mattress hadn't been changed since the 80s. When you lay on the mattress the metal bars, actually pressed into your skin but we had no choice but to stay as the hotel was apparently full at this point. The King bed mattress in the sleeping area was so soft there was zero support but at least it didn't have metal bars. We got changed for bed and then we noticed it: There was no CO detector in the sleeping area! As this is a legal requirement in CA, and a major health and safety violation, we again called the front desk. The time was now 10:30pm. Joe said new the new engineer would be here at 11pm and he'd send him down as soon as he arrived. At 1130 we called joe again and he said "yeah, the engineer called out" No phone call to let us know this when the engineer called out. We reminded him it was illegal in CA and his response was "yeah, I am aware. Someone will deal with it in the morning. So now we have the person on the king bed not sleeping because they had anxiety about CO poisoning PLUS the music in the lobby left at full blast all night. The Person on the pull out couch couldn't sleep either due to the coils and metal bars in her back. Morning arrives! I get up and go to the bathroom only to discover the toilet doesn't flush. Not because the chain was disconnected (a fairly common occurrence and one we have all dealt with before), because there was no water in the tank! We AGAIN called the front desk and Elena said "yeah, I'll let someone know. DO you need it fixed now?" Um, yes we do! We would love to flush the toilet! Barry the engineer showed up and was super helpful. The only person who showed a modicum of customer service or concern for us. When we pointed out the missing CO detector he agreed we should not have been allowed to stay in the room as it was not up to code, in fact that room should not have been sold in the first place. He attempted to fix the toilet but realized that the refill valve is broken and needs to be replaced. After using the lobby bathroom, we finally checked out. No one said anything about the CO detector or the broken toilet. No one apologized. Worst hotel stay ever. AVOID this place at all costs.

Great stay! Good food and beverage and loved the pool. Loved the outdoor bar/restaurant Hoodoo!! Huge fitness center for a hotel, all the equipment you need for a good workout. There is a resort fee, but it covers WiFi and bike rentals, which I did take advantage of a few times during my stay.

Do not stay here. My worst ever Hyatt experience. The problems started as soon as I walked in the door and had to wait in a 25 person line for over 40 minutes waiting to check in to my room. Then I got to my room and found that it hadn’t been adequately cleaned, particularly since I found a marijuana blunt on the floor next to the bed. Then I noticed almost all of the fabric surfaces in the room were stained including all of the furniture. The bedroom only had a lamp on one of the two night stands and the lamp was damaged and leaning to one side. Then I tried to turn down the temperature in the room but even though I could get the fan to turn on, no combination of settings would make it blow cold air. I had to sleep with the patio door open since it was too hot in the room for me to be able to sleep otherwise. Do not stay here. This property should not qualify to be a Hyatt.
