I absolutely adore this place. The attention to detail, the care, the amazing facility. Kent and the entire staff are second to none.it seems like they are always one step ahead of what you need/want. The pool and hot tub are always pristine and kept at the perfect temperatures. The fire pit area was a morning joy with coffee. Comfortable rooms, great breakfast… not to mention the unbelievable daily lunch order… what a spectacular amenity. Location is great…book this place! We already rebooked for next year. Can’t come soon enough.

The Santiago certainly met my expectations. The room was clean (with Covid standards implemented), modern with wooden/metal accent furnishings, beautiful fluffy pillows, lots of fresh towels, a comfortable mattress and unlimited snacks and non-alcoholic beverages. Plenty of room to lounge pool side and the staff was always willing to assist. Pool was large enough for everyone to share. Had access to 4 bicycles to ride around. You may pay a little more for this well-kept resort, however they provide a light breakfast and lunch menu as part of the nightly rate (I felt it was worth the price to have a clean, safe and modern room with comfort and beverages included). As a very seasoned global traveler, I really enjoyed my visit and definitely look forward to more stays at the Santiago. You won’t be disappointed. Enjoy your fun in the sun at the Santiago!

Santiago Resort is pretty damn stunning, incredible value and a welcoming place for queer men. Our stay was quiet, intimate and full to the brim with amenities in a relaxing sun and shade filled slice of heaven.
We are pretty retentive about cleanliness - we brought our own alcohol wipes and scrubbed the place down - not an ounce of dust was seen. Use of masks is necessary and every guest was respectful of that.
The pool is pristine, running 91 degrees all hours of the day, with plenty of space. You may have to wait your turn for the jacuzzi, but with a smaller number of units you won’t have to wait long.
As a fairly prudish couple, we were never made uncomfortable by the clothing optional nature of the resort. It was fun, there were a wide range of bodies on display by the pool, and it felt safe and inclusive.
Add to that, the gardens are lush, the water features are regal, and the hummingbirds are aplenty. Even just saw one bird hop on top of the manager's hand as if he was Snow White herself.
For the price of this hotel you get so much, from a delicious breakfast to a catered lunch, snacks, drinks and bike rentals, all inclusive. We couldn’t find a better deal.
Staffed by some great gents who anticipated our every need, we will be sure to be back. Great for a quiet weekend away, or a lovely honeymoon. 12/10 experience

I just returned from five nights at Santiago. It was just what I needed to recharge. This is my second time at Santiago in just over a year, and I can't wait to schedule my next trip. This time was a bit different in the era of Covid, but I felt safe and taken care of. The staff are going out of their way to do extra cleaning and safety precautions, and lounge chairs were spaced to provide distancing. That said people managed to be social at the pool in a responsible way and I had a great time. Kent, Charles, and team were outstanding as usual. I will be back!

We just returned from an amazing week at the Santiago. Kent, Charles and the entire team made our stay relaxing and kept the grounds meticulous throughout the days we were there. The resort has great views of the mountains, offers a very nice breakfast and lunch package which is a great plus. You could (and many did) spend the entire day poolside, lounging in the hot tub, enjoying the hammocks and a great outdoor shower. The resort is close to everything downtown, a 10 minute ride at most and a 5 minute walk to a great little village center with a great bagel place, couple of gay friendly shops and antique centers.
As having been in hospitality for many years, it takes a lot to impress us from a service standpoint. Kent and his team did more than impress us. The attention to details really stand out here. The cantina is open around the clock and during the day snacks, soda, water, lemonade and iced tea are constantly refilled and available for everyone. We were equally impressed watching the staff interact with the guests, and every evening the staff checked in with the poolside guests to see if there was anything we needed before wrapping up their day. Simply checking in with the guests made us feel appreciated to be there and in good hands at all times. We always felt part of a community while staying here. We will definitely be back!
Thank you, Kent, Charles and the entire team!

This is by far our most preferred space to stay in PS. We thought everything was done in the most beautiful way. Book it today!!! You won't regret it.

Spectacular location, accommodations, amenities, and services. I understand this ownership group has other locations in Palm Springs, which are likely equally lovely, but guests we interacted with all said: Santiago is their favorite. The intimacy and cleanliness surpassed expectations. Bed was the most comfortable I’ve been on in a while. Temp control was excellent with individual PTAC units. The breakfast service was beyond expectations, and the lunch option service: amazing. The support crew were excellent on every level: friendly, helpful, genuinely present for the guests.
Shout-outs:
Meal service crews! Awesome job. Breakfast was a treat, and lunch was easy.
Concierge was enthusiastic and welcoming. We loved it.
Pool and spa were immaculate and staff kept the common areas constantly resort ready,
Are there some nits? Of course.
The hot water took a long time to get to the shower, which meant a waste of water. And, when a toilet flushed: good idea to step back a few seconds.
The “barn door” closure for the bathroom left no sounds etc to the imagination.
I’ve never written this in a review before, but: servicing the room was very early! It was GREAT service, but early. I get it: small hotel needs to turn the rooms. But still: early.
Suggestions.
I visited on an arguably cold weekend. I wish there had been some patio heaters available on the pool deck.
I loved the “all inclusive” meal service, like to get out now and then, but having a dinner option, for additional cost could be a good addition for guests.
All the guests were lovely. There were, however, a couple of locals who landed on property after staff left for the day. Not ideal.

Upstairs suite was just the right size, and upstairs is probably recommended as quieter. Staff was cheerful and helpful. Lunch service was happily unexpected. One could have a fine stay in Palm Springs virtually without leaving the property, although a trip outside the gates for Mexican food (El Mirasol is recommended) is a must.

Having been to a number of all-gay resorts in Palm Springs, I can say without reservation that Santiago is the very best. They pay attention to the small details both in the upkeep of the property and the hospitality of guests. Ken is great and I look forward to spending a few days at Thanksgiving at Santiago.

First and foremost I absolutely adore the Santiago. it is a beautiful property and the staff are amazing. This is my go-to Palm Springs getaway. If i had any complaints it would be the lack on maintenance. The room keys don't work well and jam not letting you into your room. The handle to the shower would completely fall off when turning on the water. When you are paying such a premium those little details are more noticeable. Other than that highly recommend the Santiago!

Thank you for your review and your feedback! I'm sorry we missed the mark on room quality and that you had those issues! I hope that they were addressed while you were here. We have replaced all of the door locks because of similar issues. And the last 3 bathrooms will be renovated this winter, so hopefully the remaining bathroom issues will be fully resolved as well. We look forward to seeing you again and hitting the mark fully next time!!

I believe it’s a solely gay male resort, I haven’t seen women in all my visits there
There was also a refillable glass bottle of filtered water in our room when we checked in.
No, we do not have a pool bar or even serve alcohol. We are not permitted for it, but don't worry we have a liquor store a very short walk away from the hotel, limited mixers and poolside approved cups! Even a blender, if you feel margarita's are the right choice poolside!
Hello Cid, we look forward to seeing you at the resort! Please feel free to contact me at the hotel for any requests, or for any requests that I can take care of before your arrival. Feel free to respond to the confirmation e-mail. Both Ryan and I check that all day!
Hi Andrew,
I think if you like the warmth, the warmer month in October. We do not have much humidity here, because of the desert. Please feel free to e-mail me directly with an questions. kent at santiagoresort
