I stayed at the hotel for its proximity to the convention centre and the airport. Free airport transfer is a bonus. It is also within walking distance to downtown. However, the facilities at the hotel is quite basic. There is only a bar at the hotel offering snack food and drinks. The pool is quite basic and small. The decor of the hotel is business like, but the wifi is a bit slow.

Dear Guest Thank you for your feedback and for staying at the hotel. The hotel is the Courtyard brand and so we do not offer all of the amenities a full-service Marriott hotel has to offer. We do have a Bistro that serves breakfast and dinner. Thank you for your feedback on the WIFI - We did just upgrade the system so maybe your stay was between the upgrade. We thank you again for staying with us Sincerley Vanessa

I chose this hotel because of its location, so close to the airport and downtown. Check in was very quick, and the desk clerk gave us a choice of which floor we would like to be on, and put us on the side of the hotel away from the construction. She also gave us a choice of how often we would like housekeeping, and scheduled it in on our preferred day. She even gave us a discount on the parking ($5 instead of $10) as we were staying a week. There is a large, convenient parking lot. We got a lovely main floor room facing the courtyard and pool, with a little patio. It's been recently redone, with nice modern decor, comfy bed, big walk-in shower, mini fridge, large TV. The only thing missing was an in-room safe. The hotel info online said there was a safe, but they meant the safety deposit box at the front desk, I guess. If I had known this ahead, I would not have booked the hotel, as it is so inconvenient to not be able to lock up passports, money, electronics, in the room. (I have had a hotel room robbed before). We did make do with the safety deposit box, and it worked out OK except for the one time the desk clerk’s key wouldn’t open our box. The hotel was very quiet, and through the week we rarely heard any noise. The pool area is nice, and while we found the weather was too cool to swim, a few others were using the pool and hot tub. Because of COVID, we are still avoiding indoor crowds, so the Bistro set up was great. We were able to sit apart, down in the individual booths facing the courtyard, so felt comfortable. They had a nice little menu. We ate all our breakfasts there, and one supper, and all the food we tried was good. I don’t think we have ever stayed in a hotel where every single staff person we interacted with over the week, and there were a fair number, was so friendly, helpful and kind.

Great hotel option if you prefer a more minimal stay (easy parking, etc) however breakfast is extremely overpriced and the "fitness center" is a converted hotel room with nothing but a treadmill and some dumbbells. I was here for a few day expo at the convention center and it was an easy walk, also close to the downtown area of Palm Springs. Jorge at the front office was super helpful shipping me an iPad I had left behind. Very friendly customer service so 5/5!

Dear Guest Thank you for your feedback and for choosing to stay at the hotel. The breakfast prices are comparable to the market prices, costs for food have increased overall. The fitness center is not a converted space, however the great news the hotel is gong to be improving the fitness facility in the near future as a new fitness center will be built by the pool area in the coming months with the hotel exterior renovations. Thank you for the wonderful comments on the associate, the staff does do their best with the sprit to service hospitality. Thank you again and we look forward to seeing you on your next visit to Palm Springs. Sincerely Vanessa

The hotel offers a shuttle to and from the airport, however, they don't advertise it on their website. This was a very basic hotel, about a mile away from downtown. For 3 days, the hotel ran a generator in the courtyard which made sitting by the pool very unpleasant. The room had bugs (very small ant-like) throughout the bathroom. A very large construction project is taking place next door to the property as well.

Dear Guest Thank you for staying with the hotel and for your feedback. We do have a shuttle service and it is advertised on the website, however I will check on this to ensure all channels that book with Marriott have this information. I apologize in regards to the generator - the pool area needed some work on the paint areas and it needed to get completed as the area was not looking great with chipped paint, however I do understand the noise issues and I apologize again. As for the construction that is taking place it is on the other side of the hotel and is due to be completed in early June which is the new Living out project condo complex. Thank you again for your feedback and I hope you chose to stay with us on your next visit. Sincerely Vanessa

I booked online with my military rate. When we arrived they said it was only good for the first (of 3 nights) and that the rate would nearly triple for the next 2 nights. They said this is their policy regardless of what Marriott says. We were stuck because we had no place else to stay. We will never return.

Dear Guest Thank you for staying with the hotel and for your feedback. I am sorry to hear about your experience with the hotel. As for the military rate it is available for federal government employees travelling on business, I am not sure which dates you stayed as there is no information for me to review this reservation. The federal rate is open with government ID presented at check in and it must be a valid government ID. I hope you give us another chance on your next travels. Sincerely Vanessa

Before I begin my review, I must say that I have been a die hard Marriot customer since 2008. I frequently traveled in my former position and generally stayed at a Marriot or Starwood/SPG. They are now the same company. I am a silver elite customer. I have traveled to Palm Springs on and off now for many years and began staying at this particular Marriot Courtyard primarily due to its location and proximity to Palm Canyon Drive and ease to the 10 freeway. Obviously there are many place to stay in this location and it pains me greatly to say that I will be searching out other locations. And potentially not Marriot. Currently I do not feel they deserve my patronage. This Courtyard hotel has gone under some serious renovation and upgrades which was greatly needed in comparison to before, nicely done. With that said, I will continue with my review and must say that as far as complementary, what you just read was really as far as it goes unfortunately with this stay. Here's the gist. Currently, there is a large construction project underway exactly next to the hotel (western side of the hotel). I was not aware of it when I booked through Marriot Customer Service - shame on you for not knowing this and for not informing customers. Hence why my Marriot stays will probably be non-existent in the future. Admittedly, this reservation was an extension to a resort stay (Hilton Grand Vacation) and was last minute as I decided to remain an extra day to catch up with some friends who were also there coincidently. You must understand that this has been my Go-To hotel for sometime now. Not any more. The construction project woke me up at 5:30 in the morning with loud bangs and so much vibration that the night stand drawers next to my bed opened up on its own, and the bottle of water that was on the desk fell to the floor. Luckily it was sealed shut as it was unopened. This bang and vibration continued until I checked out about 10 AM. I had had enough! Normally I stay in the hotel to get a coffee and something to eat. Instead, I quickly went to Koffi down the street - wonderful place I might add and family owned. I will be writing a review on them. Nothing but perfect. There were no apologies from the front staff. Nothing. I told them about my experience. Nothing. The young women's response was, and most likely the standard response was as follows: "we advise guests when staying on this side of the hotel". My response was "Oh really. I was never informed". I truthfully I will say No One Said Anything About the Construction. As someone who these days travels less frequently, a short trip regardless of duration, should be a good one; and a welcomed change and an opportunity to relax. I would not advise staying at this hotel until the construction is completed. And again, Marriott Customer Service should be aware of this and advise customers of the situation. If booking online, there should be something that advises the potential customer that there is a current construction project underway and will affect one's stay.

Dear Guest Thank you for your feedback and for sharing your experience with the hotel. I am sorry that your experience was not to Marriott standards. I understand the issues with the construction, and we have worked with the city of Palm Springs to minimize the issues, in fact the week you were here, we asked the city to have the construction noise begin at 10:00am as they were grinding the parking lot and the hotel was feeling all the vibration which eventually, they did work with the hotel. Again, my apologies and I hope you give us another chance. Sincerley Vanessa

Beautifully refurbished Courtyard. Our room had walk in shower replacing the shower over tub. And a duel flush high toilet. Halls were well padded new carpeting as well. Bistro has a simple menu. We had excellent Cobb salad prepared in front of us. In the morning, very friendly staff putting together Starbucks coffee as well cooked breakfasts. Front desk welcome was efficient and helpful. Best Courtyard we have been in for many a year.

Rough night stay. Was staying there one night-sat sun. We were woken up by rude guests in the hall way at midnight. Opened the door to see the commotion. I was upset and yelled to be quiet. 5 minutes later they knocked on the door and ran. I called and complained. Platinum Marriott status here. He stated they were aware of the folks when they came into the hotel. They were noisy downstairs. They sent up security and had a chat. Then about an hour later, again noise. I called and complained again. They went up and visited them again. Next morning I talked to the front desk. Asked for the contact info of the manager because I had a rough night. As I spoke the assistant manager came over. He was unaware of the issue - said he needed to read the night report. I explained and said I was concerned the night staff knew of the rowdiness of the folks and didn’t escort them to the room. I get it’s hard to manage the noise however in many hotels there are signs in hallways stating quiet zones after 10pm. The assistance manager acknowledged that weekends are sometimes a challenge with noise. Humm. Then figure out how to address this. Finally he said he would look into this and get back to me. Well nothing heard back. I never got the manager contact info as well. I probably won’t return to that facility.

Great no frill hotels with small downside. My verdicts below: 1) Location is between downtown and PSP airport which I like because it’s very peaceful and quiet during the evening. Rite Aid pharmacy just 5 mins walk, 10 mins walk to the town mall if you need groceries also generic dining options (Subway, Dominos, Panda Express) if you can’t stand with overpriced restaurant in downtown PS. Mind due to the proximity to the airport, during the day you’ll feel the room shaky. 2) Room is generic but it clean, it works, there’s a dining table that you can pull out as well if you need more space. The balcony is nice but I did not hang out in the balcony as it’s too cold. The room seems recently refurbished, no more bathtub/shower combo which is nice and everything just works. 3) Staffs are wonderful. They seems really care about all the guests comfort. Housekeeping also done a great job although their English somehow limited. 4) On-site resturant, The Bistro is excellent, although the food options are fairly limited. The price might be a bit expensive — well it’s Palm Springs so I guess people have to deal with it. Luckily the food and coffee tasted decent. 5) I haven’t tried their fitness center. The swimming pool area looks nice, also the lounge in the lobby looks very comfy. Good if you need to host some friends/colleagues. Overall I do recommend this property regardless of the downside that I mentioned (the shaky room, expensive F&B, and limited English for housekeeping staff). 5 stars!
