The hotel has a great vibe--timeless chic, classic, and comfortable. Quiet, mostly adults, great pool and restaurant. Dogs are welcome and appreciated by the awesome staff! On one weekend trip we were quite happy having never left the property!

We've been guests at Colony Palms for many years. We like the creature comforts. Since it's a small property, it doesn't take an hour to walk to the pool. Their typical guest is an adult couple. Forget about wild pool parties, water guns, tossing a football in the pool area, cigar smoke, or obnoxious drunken behavior. This is not the...

We arrived in late March to Palm Springs in an attempt to flee the snow of Denver. We didn't realize it was spring break week and the airport here was packed. It look an hour and a half to finally get our rental car. When we got to the Colony Palms Hotel we realized we made the right choice, for...

We showed up and had our car parked. Lovely staff and nice people. Had dinner at the bar and the food was quite good. Also did massage and it was fantastic. Room was nice and clean and all around much above average. But it was overpriced for the expectations. If you are going to charge $500-600 per night it should...

I was so happy with the stay at Colony Palms. It provides an excellent counterpoint to the larger resorts further in to the valley, offering a smaller and more subdued experience. To be certain, this property is more limited in its offerings--there isn't a gym or multiple restaurants and bars and the resort charge is a bit on the higher...

From start to finish this place is the best. Check-in is fast and easy and courteous, the staff is just wonderful. The rooms are all beautiful and unique and no expense has been spared for the decorations, fixtures and furniture. Beds and pillows are scrumptious, AC is quiet and powerful, tiles in the bathrooms are to die for. The Colony...

Beautiful property. All personnel were friendly, professional and helpful. The pool area was delightful. Breakfast was good. Eggs Benedict was cooked as I requested. Waiter was very attentive and pleasant. The only complaint I have was the noise of the doors near our room. Great restaurants nearby.

"May I offer you a glass of wine?" was how we were greeted when we arrived to the gorgeous Colony Palms Hotel. I've stayed at The Colony Palms twice, both times the staff was LESS than accommodating but I loved the pool so I had tried it the second time and again was DISAPPOINTED. My casita was like a Tijuana cell block with concrete floors and it was outrageously overpriced for the few amenities and rude staff. Because of the grounds I...

So I guess they have new owners. I'm sure that they have made some very nice improvements to the property but the two that were visible to us seemed like a step backward. Originally built in 1936 by reputed Purple Gang Mobster Al Wertheimer, the Colony Palms Hotel was once a saloon, speakeasy and gambling house that later became a playground for Hollywood ICONS including Humphrey Bogart, Marilyn Monroe, Clark Gable, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin & Rita Hayworth. Colony Palms Hotel has maintained its nobility as a stunning four-star boutique hotel spread out over a three acre property. The rooms promise subtle sophistication with brilliantly colored mosaic tiles and fabrics, rich woods, and suzani headboards. Many have fireplaces and claw-foot bathtubs. Mature gardens throughout the property provide privacy, and intimate outdoor spaces, and the rooms open to the a central courtyard with pool. The hotel’s restaurant, the Purple Palm boasts exquisite cuisine and a stunning view of both the pool and San Jacinto Mountains. The newly redesigned Spa offers a serene atmosphere and top of the line treatments. Colony Palms Hotel also plays host to a variety of stunning weddings and events, with the option of utilizing a newly refreshed private event space or a full property buyout for a truly intimate celebration.
