Comfort Inn Palo Alto is a popular, basic but clean motel. The room has a large fridge, coffee maker, microwave, and spacious bathroom. Beds are comfortable. The breakfast in the lobby is very adequate.
I am an optimist so I thought I could get through a stay at this place. The hotel prices in Silicon Valley are staggering. I arrived to a room that was like a prison cell and smelled like old Indian food. There were bugs in...More
Hotel rooms in Palo Alto tend to be very expensive. The Comfort Inn is at the budget end of the spectrum (motel with exterior corridors). It met our needs and had a better free breakfast (eggs, sausages, tater tots, waffles) than we expected. Parking is...More

The furniture is quite worn, and does not fit the room well. I remember a freestanding armoire in the corner. Adorning the formica bathroom vanity is a microwave, and a few cups wrapped in plastic. The room had a smell which was not offensive but it definitely had the aroma of spices from an Indian restaurant. I believe the room was wallpapered also in the 90's style...
I slept well there though!
