We stayed in a room with 2 double beds. It was very small with one bed up against the window and a one foot space on the far side to access the air/ heat, fridge and microwave.

Pros: Reasonably priced for the area
Convenient location
Parking close to your door out front
Nice desk clerk
Comfortable beds

Cons: very rough bath towels
Very strong perfume smell on bed linens giving me a bad headache
Blood stains on mattress pad
Cigarette burns on blanket
Very little room on edge of bathroom vanity to sit anything
No chair in room
Other guests with screaming kids running loose

So, I gave this motel 3 stars bc it is a
convenient location, it was comparatively
inexpensive and the owner was very nice. With that being said… there is A LOT wrong with the place. Towels with stains and holes. Carpet had a large stain. Unknown yellow stuff on the walls, super small TV, paint and burn hole on the bedspread. It was just a place to lay our heads but we were barely comfortable in doing so. I would never recommend to another to stay here because I would never stay here again but again… for the price, we probably got what we paid for.

The pictures from outside or deceiving. The only reason we didn't turn around and leave was because it was prepaid and I figured it would be a hassle getting a refund. Furthermore, we would have had to pay a premium price to stay anywhere else at the last minute on a Friday night.

The room was no better than a Motel 6; with the exception of the bed. The mattress was comfortable. The bathroom was falling apart due to water damage. The walls are so soft, they can't hold a towel rack. There is no ventilation in the bathroom and the window is locked shut. After taking a shower with a showerhead that will literally sandblast your skin off, the tiny bathroom turns into a sauna.

The TV was small, there is no phone in the room (not that people really need that anymore) and it was, in a word, pathetic.

On the face of it, Wine Country Inn is a standard American drive-up motel. Surprisingly, though, it has notably low prices and unusually high standards of service and upkeep. The owner/ managers are a lovely couple, attentive to their clients’ privacy but always available and happy to help. The building, outside and in, is charmingly and tastefully maintained. The exterior is a cheerful yellow-and-red brick ensemble with flowering plants hung at intervals on the veranda in front of the rooms; the showers are elegantly tiled; and even the paintings above the beds are a good cut above the usual fare.

Wine Country Inn was our home base for five days as we explored Morro Bay, Big Sur, Los Padres National Forest, the numerous vineyards, and the Central Coast towns of the area. We woke up each morning and breakfasted in our room and prepped our picnic lunches, since we had a brand new refrigerator to store plenty of provisions.

The amenities and accessibility is this modest little inn can’t be beat!

I stayed at this quaint little inn for two nights this past weekend for a wedding. Things were incredibly expensive in Paso this weekend and I found this hotel and it had great rates. After my stay I’ve gotta say it went so smoothly and I’d recommend it to anyone coming to Paso Robles and looking for a quiet budget friendly option. The owner was so nice and made sure we had everything we needed. They were always easy to contact and available for anything we needed. Rooms were clean and parking is right in front of rooms so it made unpacking and packing very easy. Would stay again!

We had a very pleasant, comfortable stay at this motel, located just off 101 and a few minutes' drive from restaurants and stores in the center of town. Both bedroom and bathroom were clean and spacious. Furnishings aren't overly indulgent, are in good taste and very functional and comfortable. The room was reasonably priced.

My family and I stayed here last night on our way to Los Angeles and had a great stay. We weren't sure what to expect given some of the other reviews. The managers couldn't have been nicer, giving us extra pillows and blankets and refusing a tip when they delivered them to our room. The A/C was a bit loud and the beds are small but the room was clean, the other guests friendly, and we all slept great. It's a simple place but perfectly fit our needs and budget for this quick stay.

3 nights booked after I had read reviews on another site that made a person think this was a mid level hotel. The pictures tell the story and now I am fighting to get a refund. Checked in, the guy at front desk with a thick accent wearing a beanie was very nice and assures me that this is the 'best clean room ever' when I asked him after a bad experience at Motel 6 King City the night before (which was even worse!). I trust him. I walk into the room, peel back the sheets and find black spots on the mattress of unknown etiology and what looks to be either bug larva or dead skin cells or something. Broken chain lock on the door, the gap all around the door is large enough for roaches or whatever else wants to crawl in, the gap at the bottom is large enough that snakes could crawl in. I was in the room for mere 10 minutes and walked out to the guy in the beanie and said 'CANCEL IT'. He assures me of a refund for all 3 nites, yet I see a charge on the card the next day. Expedia unable to help cuz now the guy won't answer the phone. Ended up staying at another hotel that same night, La Quinta has my business and I'll just end up disputing this with my bank. Pictures can't say anything different than what it really was.

It was so bad that we left after 45 minutes and booked a new hotel. My husband and I were itchy and found bugs crawling on our baby's crib the next day (even after immediately showering and putting our clothes in the freezer). There were red and black spots on the sheets and all over the sink, holes in the doors and walls, the place stunk, and we could hear everything next door. We told the front desk about the situation and asked for a refund and the front desk person just slammed the door in our face and said no refunds. It was clearly a mis-starred hotwire hotel. It was late but we ended up having to pay for another hotel.

We stayed there in February and I can assure you that all the rooms have been redecorated. The bathrooms are small but are very nicely appointed. The new owners are very anxious to please. While there are refrigerators and microwaves in each room, there is no coffee maker, we brought an electric kettle. overall this place is a great value.
