Pros: Reasonably priced for the area
Convenient location
Parking close to your door out front
Nice desk clerk
Comfortable beds
Cons: very rough bath towels
Very strong perfume smell on bed linens giving me a bad headache
Blood stains on mattress pad
Cigarette burns on blanket
Very little room on edge of bathroom vanity to sit anything
No chair in room
Other guests with screaming kids running loose
convenient location, it was comparatively
inexpensive and the owner was very nice. With that being said… there is A LOT wrong with the place. Towels with stains and holes. Carpet had a large stain. Unknown yellow stuff on the walls, super small TV, paint and burn hole on the bedspread. It was just a place to lay our heads but we were barely comfortable in doing so. I would never recommend to another to stay here because I would never stay here again but again… for the price, we probably got what we paid for.
The room was no better than a Motel 6; with the exception of the bed. The mattress was comfortable. The bathroom was falling apart due to water damage. The walls are so soft, they can't hold a towel rack. There is no ventilation in the bathroom and the window is locked shut. After taking a shower with a showerhead that will literally sandblast your skin off, the tiny bathroom turns into a sauna.
The TV was small, there is no phone in the room (not that people really need that anymore) and it was, in a word, pathetic.
Wine Country Inn was our home base for five days as we explored Morro Bay, Big Sur, Los Padres National Forest, the numerous vineyards, and the Central Coast towns of the area. We woke up each morning and breakfasted in our room and prepped our picnic lunches, since we had a brand new refrigerator to store plenty of provisions.
The amenities and accessibility is this modest little inn can’t be beat!
