CaliPaso was the site of my son's wedding. It is a beautiful place with an old world feeling. Very romantic! Every one who attended talked about how beautiful it is. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The food was delicious, all prepared in-house. The staff was wonderful. We look forward to going back for a couple of nights.

The Inn, the staff and our room was great. However there is not free wine tasting, a bistro, or even a tour of the winery as advertised. You can buy a bottle of wine when you arrive, but THERE ARE NO TASTINGS. OR winery tours, or even a welcome glass of anything. The tasting room in downtown Paso Robles is lovely. And the wines are really nice. Read the fine print before booking to ensure you’re getting everything you hoped for.

....interesting boutique villa effort.......appreciate the architecture, design, landscaping, etc........BUT for that nightly rate (rack or not) do not expect a Relais & Châteaux or Michelin room.......queen beds and few soaking tubs.....?!?!?....owner could have handled that! Light bulbs out, restaurant closed.....Oh oh....covid, right??! A LOT OF POTENTIAL BUT PROBABLY BEST AS A WEDDING VENUE FOR NON-TRAVELERS!

We loved this place. We were up in the hills finishing up a wine tasting and wanted a relaxing spot to keep the wine flowing and have a delicious meal. This place was perfect. We sat outside on the terrace. Beautiful setting, cool evening breeze, excellent service and exceptional meal. Can't say enough good things about this spot. It has an Inn on-site and is a wedding venue. The restaurant is new and is a hidden gem. -Bryan and Brittany from Florida

We are locals and recently had the pleasure of discovering the restaurant at CaliPaso Inn and Tasting Room. Open for lunch and dinner, Chef Joshua has created a fresh varied menu; something for everyone. We enjoyed the Daily Bruschetta for an appetizer; I ordered the wine-poached pear salad and my husband selected the Daily Panini. Everything was fabulous and we can’t wait to return and try some of the other tempting items on the menu. They also have a very nice selection of wines to pair with your meal. So, take the scenic backroad and experience this beautiful setting as you enjoy a fantastic dining experience.

This was a fabulous find! Our suite, The Sangiovese Suite, was HUGE and it overlooked the vineyard. We loved it! The grounds are lovely and it was fun exploring the Tuscan style property. The best part by far though was the restaurant. The chefs there are outstanding and we loved everything we tried. The breakfast is complimentary with the stay and they went way above and beyond with fantastic quiches, French toast, pancakes and sausages and a whole assortment of other options. For dinner we had a butter poached Halibut that was outstanding. The CaliPaso wine is also great and we got a certificate for free tastings at the tasting room in downtown Paso. We will definitely be staying here again!

My wife discovered the Light at Sensorio by Bruce Munro (I’ll give a review on that later) on-line and that served as the context for our first trip to Paso Robles. My job was to find lodging, and make reservations for dinners and wine tastings- again more about that later. I went online and found a number of charming combination wineries and hotels. We are partial to smaller more intimate inns, and CaliPaso seemed to fit the bill. We were thrilled. It is a bit off the beaten path, on the smaller side - only 10-12 rooms - and all of the charm of the region. The room was comfortable, we had the Pinot Greigo room, generously sized, nicely appointed, with a small kitchenette and all of the amenities needed for a relaxing weekend trip. There was a generous morning buffet that comes with the room, and a restaurant onsite, but we defaulted to dinners in downtown Paso Robles. One of the true highlights of the trip was the staff - they were absolutely delightful, and seemed genuinely excited to welcome us to their facility. We will be back to Paso Robles and we will definitely stay at CalPaso on future trips.

1st trip with another couple since Covid stopped our travel. Props: Beautiful property not far from the 46 Hwy. well maintained landscaping & tastefully decorated rooms, each individually appointed with a Tuscan feel. We were in Pinot Grigio which had a great balcony overlooking the vineyard. Comfortable queen bed & pullout sofa bed. Large bathroom with tub & separate shower room. Small kitchen/bar area & fridge. On sire restaurant serving breakfast & dinner. Food was good & not too expensive. All the staff were very friendly & tried to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Cons: No hair dryer. Staff eventually located one for me but I had to go to the restaurant with wet hair the 1st night. Pullout sofa had food in it so when we were ready for be we had to get new bedding to change the sheets! Could not get A/C to work, assumed it was our error & did not want to be disturbed again so just left it. The room was hot. Next night we tried the A/C again but could not get it to work. Maintenance had to come to fix it. They did but that meant we were late to bed for a 2nd night. The room was hot & so took a long time to get to a comfortable temperature. Not worth the price.

We are very pleased to write this praise for the entire CaliPaso Winery team regarding our amazing stay at the Villa. We arrived at late night passed 10pm to be greeted by a friendly staff who stayed beyond their normal desk hours to make sure that we are taken care of. What was even more amazing that once we find out that our EV is not compatible with the chargers on site, the Facilities Manager, Modesto, ended up fabricating a custom extension box literally in the middle of the night so we can recharge our car by the morning. The degree that the team went out of their way to satisfy us was truly remarkable and we have yet to seen before, even though we travel a lot. To top it off, the breakfast served by Ruth and her team was amazing. The place is truly a gem and we highly recommend to stay at CaliPaso for its natural beautiful setting and rooms, as well as for the truly outstanding level of service.
