Stayed here as our midpoint while traveling between Los Angeles and San Francisco. The only negative I have is the parking situation. There are 2 separate buildings. We stayed in the second building on the first floor. We were upgraded to a large suite room with a whirlpool tub. Room was clean and comfortable. The room had a small kitchen type area. Breakfast was good with 2 very friendly ladies. We would stay again.

This is a relatively modern and very clean property; we had a family room which included a small kitchen area and sofa as well as two good sized beds. We could not fault the room or the quality of service, and the included breakfast was great for the price. The only things that detracted from our stay were (1) some very loud neighbours after the state fair and (2) our disappointment that Paso Robles itself was not quite as interesting as the marketing had led us to expect but neither of these were things that Holiday Inn could control. We were on a US West Coast road trip and this was to break up our journey from Carmel to Santa Barbara. If we do a similar trip in future we’ll stay in Morro Bay instead.

This hotel was priced well with a "mini" suite, hot breakfast, daily housekeeping, comfortable bed, and as a bonus nightly free happy hour with beer, wine, and snacks (or at least it was on a WED and THUR evening). The workout room was small, but had free weights, weight machine, exercise bike, stair steppers, and treadmills which all appeared to be in working order. The exercise bike was great. We have the lowest status and were still able to get a high floor, which we liked. My only complaint is upon check-in no mention of the happy was made so we almost missed it the first night.

We are traveling as a family and when we booked by phone we requested adjoining rooms so our kids would be adjacent to us. Not only did they not honor this request, but our kids' room is literally in a separate building across the parking lot.
We paid extra for what they call an Executive room. The photo of this room shows a sofa and coffee table, which would be a nice area where a family could share a meal, play cards, etc. In fact, the room is barely larger than a regular room with no coffee table. Just a sofa facing not the television but rather the mini fridge and the door connecting to the next room...not that this room was made available for our kids.

This is not a fancy hotel. I would almost rate it as a really great motel. That being said, it’s very clean, very comfortable, convenient and perfect to stay with a dog. Judging by the amount of dogs at the facility, many people felt the same way.
The staff is very friendly and accommodating; I’d like to give a shout out to Clayton. Just the fact that I remembered his name means that he did a really great job.
In the room, towels are fluffy, the pillows are nice, the beds are comfortable, and there is a small kitchen area with the refrigerator and microwave as well as coffee maker.
We stayed for two nights and enjoyed the breakfast with lots of options and strong coffee. Really could not fault it. Nothing luxurious, but all the basics are really well taken care of.

Due to unforeseen consequences we had to cancel our reservation. We called the 800 number in the morning and they said not a problem. And then I got a bill for over $300 for a room that we did not even use. When I called, I spoke to the assistant manager and then the general manager, and they both said they would not refund anything. They made me pay the full amount for a room we did not use. They weren’t even going to consider just taking a fee for the cancellation on the same day even though we did call and we were told it would be all right. Terrible customer relations.

I have stayed at scads of hotels over the pandemic. This one clean as a whistle n smells good too. Spotless pool. Cute mini kitchen w wet bar w micro and fridge was GREAT for my special food needs. Fairly quiet. Good tv wth selection. friendly front desk. My only issue is breakfast. Yes it is hot (yay) but those carby breakfast sandwiches I cannot eat. Sugar and carbs. Plain scrambled eggs, please, plain yogurt (not fruity sugar)...how about greens and nuts? how bout herbal tea? Hard boiled eggs.... This is a very reasonable hotel and I walked easily 15 min to lovely DT paso robles. Really love this nice place! Wd stay again!!

There are several pluses: Convenient location for driving to SLO or wineries or Sensorio. The staff at the desk were great and the area feels safe and well kept.
The room is a bit of a cross between a residence inn and garden suites- there’s a large mini-fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and wet-bar sink.
Nice sized bathroom with plenty of counter space.
The cons are very straightforward: the room smelled like hotel room freshener when we came in, and I caught the hint of wet dog, which my wife thought was maybe vape-pen covered up by air freshener. We left for the afternoon and came back to smell strong wet-dog odor. I would suggest to management to make one floor pet-friendly and the rest pet-free. Pet odor isn’t the end of the world, especially if you travel with a pet, but it is bad enough that I can guarantee we won’t be back despite the location and great staff. If you have pet allergies or can’t cope with pet smells I would avoid this as a 1-star location.

Room was comfortable.
Swimming pool, although I did not use it.
Housekeeping was flexible with hours.
Good government rate.
Convenient parking and it was free.
Nice toiletries in the bathroom.
Location convenient.
I stayed for three nights. TV did not work the first night. Front desk knew about the problem, and they did not mention it when I checked in. But when I call the front desk to ask about the TV, they said they would have to replace the cable box in that room, and that would happen tomorrow.

Hotel is convenient to the 101 but pretty far for walking to downtown.
Bed was great. First room assigned was directly over KFC take-out window. We were moved to a room with a view over the hotel parking lot and railroad tracks. Room and view were good but hot didn’t work. They offered points to compensate for lack of hot water, but after 10 days points haven’t yet been credited,

Yes there are...
I believe it opens at 7 am
Yes, it is pet friendly, they charge 20.00 per animal. They also have a "dog area" to the rear of the second building, by the parking lot for doggie business.
Most Holidy Inn Expresses are unless they specifically say so. I did see dogs at this hotel.
We are located within walking distance to the Fairgrounds. We are located just off the corner of 24th and Riverside Ave. 2-5 minute walk maximum.
