This hotel was priced well with a "mini" suite, hot breakfast, daily housekeeping, comfortable bed, and as a bonus nightly free happy hour with beer, wine, and snacks (or at least it was on a WED and THUR evening). The workout room was small, but had free weights, weight machine, exercise bike, stair steppers, and treadmills which all appeared to be in working order. The exercise bike was great. We have the lowest status and were still able to get a high floor, which we liked. My only complaint is upon check-in no mention of the happy was made so we almost missed it the first night.

This is not a fancy hotel. I would almost rate it as a really great motel. That being said, it’s very clean, very comfortable, convenient and perfect to stay with a dog. Judging by the amount of dogs at the facility, many people felt the same way. The staff is very friendly and accommodating; I’d like to give a shout out to Clayton. Just the fact that I remembered his name means that he did a really great job. In the room, towels are fluffy, the pillows are nice, the beds are comfortable, and there is a small kitchen area with the refrigerator and microwave as well as coffee maker. We stayed for two nights and enjoyed the breakfast with lots of options and strong coffee. Really could not fault it. Nothing luxurious, but all the basics are really well taken care of.

Hotel was clean and good. Reception desk person was very friendly and helpful. Service was real good. Was looking for a nearby place to print a color pass for visiting the neighboring college. And the service-desk person volunteered to print it in the office and made the morning a happy one. Breakfast is the usual Holiday Inn style. Definitely recommend for folks visiting this area.

Due to unforeseen consequences we had to cancel our reservation. We called the 800 number in the morning and they said not a problem. And then I got a bill for over $300 for a room that we did not even use. When I called, I spoke to the assistant manager and then the general manager, and they both said they would not refund anything. They made me pay the full amount for a room we did not use. They weren’t even going to consider just taking a fee for the cancellation on the same day even though we did call and we were told it would be all right. Terrible customer relations.

This hotel is spotlessly clean and in a good spot for downtown whilst being just off the motorway. The most striking thing about this hotel is the staff. The Manager, Clayton, is spectacularly helpful. He helped us organise a wine trip, plus taxi and nothing was too much trouble. Another you lady on reception was also really friendly and super-helpful. They even do complimentary drinks early evening midweek. Our previous hotel on this trip was a Hyatt and it wasn't nearly as clean. The staff were much less helpful. The hotel has a happy vibe. Nice basic breakfast, too.

Previous experiences with Holiday Inn express were hit n miss but this property was very clean with large rooms (had 3 kids). The breakfast was good. The staff was very courteous. Overall, good experience with this hotel and I highly recommend it especially to those visiting with young kids.

This is a relatively modern and very clean property; we had a family room which included a small kitchen area and sofa as well as two good sized beds. We could not fault the room or the quality of service, and the included breakfast was great for the price. The only things that detracted from our stay were (1) some very loud neighbours after the state fair and (2) our disappointment that Paso Robles itself was not quite as interesting as the marketing had led us to expect but neither of these were things that Holiday Inn could control. We were on a US West Coast road trip and this was to break up our journey from Carmel to Santa Barbara. If we do a similar trip in future we’ll stay in Morro Bay instead.

Nice hotel just off the freeway. Room was clean and modern. Breakfast was great! Large selection with a pancake machine instead of the usual waffles. FYI - all the amenities are only in the main building. Lots of free parking!

HIE Paso is great in many areas and one of us the staff. Service: -Upon checking in, my fiancé asked if any upgrades were available(Platinum Elite) as this was for his birthday trip. We never expect to get anything, but the front desk associate was kind enough to put us in an Executive King. -When leaving, our car battery wouldn’t start and AAA was going to take over an hour. The maintenance manager(yay Isaac) saw my partner trying to use our do-it-yourself battery jump with little luck. He came over to offer to help and with assistance from him, we were on the road in 5 five minutes! Saved us time and totally unexpected. Room: -Large, clean, and we’ll appointed. Mini Fridge, Keurig(did not use), microwave, and wet bar in a convenient small kitchen layout. - First floor does not have a view beyond KFC(ha) and the parking lot. If you’re staying at this hotel, it’s not for the views but cloudiness to downtown and wineries. -Nice sized bathroom. Shower head either had too strong of pressure or low. If staying longer than two days, would have called maintenance to fix Breakfast: -Only had it one day but the spread was pretty good for a buffet. Standouts are the pork sausage and cinnamon rolls. Facilities: -Did not use the pool. Felt the water and would definitely take a dip the next time here! -Gym was a good size for this hotel. New machines and very clean. One treadmill kept shocking my fiancé on both days working out. The Front desk apologized once brought up and noted to be fixed immediately Location: -You can’t beat it! Close to downtown, wineries, and walking distance restaurants. Good amount of choices and we picked Rustic Fire pizza. Definitely a must after long day of wine tasting. Conclusion: From the staff to great sized room with minor issues, we’d definitely come back!

This is a Holiday Inn Express, not my favorite chain. They usually offer everything but a little less, i.e. no closet but you get an alcove to hang your clothes. It is a little over a mile from the downtown and was clean and mostly well-kept up. Most employees followed the SLO county mandate to wear masks in order to avoid the spread of COVID-19. Most guest did not and there was zero enforcement by hotel staff. If you are in a vulnerable population and the pandemic is still going on I would avoid this hotel. The staff were very personable and effective. If you needed more coffee or hot water they got right to it. They only offered maid service on stays over five days or if you ask for it claiming that they did not want to send people into your room during the pandemic. This seemed like a dishonest way of "shrink"-flation (i.e. charge the same but offer less) and to deal with staff shortages. The shower curtain was very cheap and leaked water all over the bathroom floor so it would have been nice to have towels changed. We paid $30 extra to have our dog with us which was okay with us. They have a Keurig in the room so I wish I brought our favorite K-cups since the Green Mountain brand offered is frankly foul. The room was larger than I expected for an Holiday Inn Express and accommodated a king bed plus a comfortable lounge chair. The hot breakfast was also better than expected with eggs, sausage, biscuits, cereal, and yogurt. Also, I would have liked to have a safe in the room to store my tablet when we were out. The parking lot filled up on Saturday night and when we got back at 10:30 p.m. we had to park in the Taco Bell across the street. Fortunately, the next morning I retrieved our car without incident.
