This was our third time staying at this property and the hotel is in dire need of a facelift and better maintenance - especially at their price point. Check in has historically been a challenge because of an antiquated process that, for some reason, takes an inordinate amount of time for something that is handled so quickly and efficiently elsewhere. Upon arrival into our room we noticed a very strong mildew smell, but opened the window in the hope it would air out - it didn't and upon our return from dinner we noticed black mold had permeated the shower backing due to a poor seal and, also, more mold on the caulking. The safe also was inoperative. We went down to the lobby and told them we'd like to change rooms, which was met with a deadpan look by the receptionist and a can't-be-bothered "Why?" We explained the mildew and smell and were told there was one more room available, which we took and moved ourselves. Never anything along the lines of "We're sorry for the inconvenience", nothing at all. Again, not what one would expect at this price point. Our new room was OK, but furniture is old and stained, wooden pieces are badly scratched - just tired. This will be the last time we stay at this property.…

We were in town for a horse clinic. We stayed at the Oaks. Nice quiet little place about a mile away from downtown. Hotel was clean, breakfast was good and it was quiet. Pool area isn’t very fancy but we weren’t there for that. They also allowed pets which is nice for those traveling with them.

We’re disappointed returning to this hotel. My husband and I stayed here a couple of months ago and thought it was fantastic. Our return visit has not yielded any of the hospitality we’d come to expect from our past visit. This time they seemed unwelcoming and unaccommodating.

My husband and I stayed for 5 nights last week. The room was very comfortable and quiet. Housekeeping was excellent. Staff were friendly and efficient. The daily breakfast was more than expected, fresh cooked scrambled eggs, pancakes, waffles, bacon, sausage and more. We will definitely stay again when we are back in town.

This is a great bargain for hotel in the area. Needs a bit of updating but what is missing is made up for by the staff. They also offer the opportunity to use a washer and dryer if your in need. Breakfast is good as well.

Noisy AC, very loud plumbing from room upstairs... Literally shakes the walls. Weird strict policy about not taking any breakfast items out of the dining area... Mgr said it was to keep bugs from being attracted to food in rooms. But there is mini fridge and microwave in rooms and most people bring take out or pizza etc to eat in their rooms anyway! Silly rule. I let mgmt know I wasn't happy with my room and requested to change but they would not change without charging considerably more just to move to opposite of the building. Communication with the front desk and mgr was strained at best. I won't be staying here again.

Upon check in, Sherry was great. She made sure to tell us how to turn the lights on and have us a run down of all complimentary amenities. Pool was amazing. View is great from the third floor. Beds are comfortable and there are enough pillows and an extra blanket in the closet. Towels are also enough and there's a pair of robes behind the bathroom door. Nice! Alex, the breakfast cook was great! We asked him a few questions and he answered them with a very detailed explanation. This place is great.

We stayed here just one night on our way up the coast. Our room was clean, quiet, and the bed was comfortable. Bathroom had all the necessary amenities. The gym had a treadmill, exercise bike, and stair climber. There was one weight machine, but no free weights. It was adequate for our needs. There was a full breakfast available the next morning. People were even gathered around the bar in the evening even though it was a small bar. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you’re passing through Paso Robles.

We left an expensive computer charger in our room. We called 90 mins after checkout and nobody could find it. Housekeeping never found/returned it. Ridiculous since it was less than 2 hours from when we left it. I’ve never had a hotel not find something the same day you check out. Housekeeping never found/returned it. It is really frustrating to lose a $150, and have a highly regarded hotel lose it or not return it. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, as if you forget something you will never get it back.

Disgusting hair in my bed. I contacted the front desk when I saw it at 11:45 pm they said we can change your room which it was too late to do. I was told I could speak to management in the am I went to ask for a manager and they said she’s not in she will contact you. Two days I kept calling until I was able to speak to her. (She never reached out). Very rude unaccommodating. Side note my shower water wouldn’t get warm either.
