Detailed Reviews
La Quinta by Wyndham in Paso Robles is an ideal location for people who enjoy wine tasting in excellent wineries. The king suite is a large room with a full size kitchen, full size fridge, dishwasher, bar stools, and equipped with plates, glasses, utensils, etc. There is a sofa next to the bed for another person. The bathroom is spacious with 2 sinks. There is a balcony with a nice view in the back of the hotel. Breakfast is offered. Small wine selection for sale next to office on first floor of main building.

I've stayed in La Quinta's in other states and they were bare bones, not much to write about. THIS particular one took me by surprise in a good way. It's not a 5 star hotel with posh amenities. It IS an affordable stay that is CLEAN and quiet. The rooms are average with very little extras. Tiny bars of soap and Pantene shampoo bottles, so if you like a more extravagant shower, bring your own. There is a microwave and cold mini fridge...no bottled water in the rooms, but there are vending machines and a little shop at the front desk to purchase drinks and snacks (and also local wines). I did not use the pool or hot tub but they looked clean and many others were taking advantage of them during my stay. The location makes it easy to eat out with two restaurants literally within walking distance. Starbucks is a 2 minute drive away as is the main highway. If you're heading to a horse show at Paso Robles Horse Park, this is the closest hotel to the Showgrounds; about a 5 minute drive. Based on the attractive price point for what I need when I'm in Paso, I would def choose this hotel again.

Another last minute trip to Paso from the Bay Area. Naturally weekend hotel reservations were difficult difficult to come by. Decided to go with La Quinta and was pleasantly surprised by the value. My expectations were not high but the hotel was great. Check in was a breeze. Yes, our room 318 was facing the least desirable side ( the highway) but it was not nearly as bad as some described. The location was great for easy trip to downtown Paso and to the wineries and Tesla Super chargers ! Our room was clean and ready when we arrived. Note, you do not have daily housekeeping if only staying 2 nights- but that was not a big deal. Our room was stocked with plenty of towels.. parking was great. Also note there was a fridge in the room. Only criticism occurred when leaving. Check out is 10 am. There was only one elevator and housekeeping was utilizing the elevators preventing guest access. I get they have many rooms to get to but perhaps waiting until after the 10 am rush would be a good idea.
Would definitely stay here again

While I thought the room quality was quite good and the bed and pillows were above average, I was disappointed in two things: no shampoo provided for the shower and the “free breakfast “ which was an utter failure. I understand that we are still dealing with the COVID situation but for $200 per night stay I expect more than what they provided. Very low quality danish or scone, cellophane wrapped and a tiny yogurt and/or apple. They really did not put much effort into this, so I am being generous with a 3 out of 5 rating

Our visit to the La Quinta in Paso Robles was marred by several problems. Firstly, the hotel complex is apparently undergoing extensive reconstruction, involving a temporary office.check-in arrangement which is totally insufficient to cope with the steady stream of arrivals on a busy day. The basic rate for a room was about $250, which for an economy hotel chain is too much. The rooms require quite a search as there was little assistance, either verbal or on paper, to guide one. Then the room TV failed to work satisfactorily (the screen remained too dark to watch it), despite three visits from staff with a more sophisticated remote! The breakfast was comprehensive in quantity but of generally poor quality in a basement room. Generally a very sub-par experience, especially for the money!

There was stains all over the carpet and on the sofa. From the smell I assume it was dog pee. The rooms very stinky and the sink and tub had brown stains. In my opinion this hotel needs to start cleaning the bathroom with bleach, clean the pee stains off the carpet and sanitize the room. The beds are very hard and lumpy. We had a total of 5 rooms and all the rooms were dirty with stains.

We've stayed at this hotel in the past and continue to appreciate the location, the rooms, the breakfast included, and the staff.
We knew they were dog friendly- we like dogs but unfortunately my wife has significant allergies to pet hair, especially dogs and cats. We requested a room away from those used/occupied by pets and were assigned a third floor room and were told they try to keep the dogs to rooms on first floor. We saw lots of dogs in the parking lot, the lobby and in the first floor hallway. It was disappointing to hear dogs in the third floor hallway once we got into our room and then later both on our way to dinner and breakfast in the morning to have dogs barking from at least four rooms on our way to the elevator.
We will regretably likely select a different hotel on our next visit to Paso Robles

Showed up on Friday at 5pm and was told the room wouldn’t be ready for another hour. They finally called me at 8:30pm to say the room was ready. The “discount” I was supposed to be given for the delay was not on the final tab and the new front desk lady just looked at me with glossed over eyes. We also asked for towels two days in a row and they never brought them up. Cleaning wasn’t done after our requests either because they said they had too m

My wife and I stayed here for one night to visit friends that were staying nearby at Cava Robles RV Park. We were surprised at how nice the room was. Our room was very large with a wet bar, microwave, fridge and a separate sitting area. The bathroom also had dual vanity sinks and was spacious. The room also had a balcony that faced the rolling hills of Paso Robles. Very close to 101 and right off of highway 46 so it was easy to get to and access to everything else. The front desk employees were very friendly and the housekeeping staff was also very friendly! Would definitely stay here again

Stayed here for four nights, more than pleased with our selection. Had a little equipment problem at check-in, but it was cleared up swiftly. Room was spacious and fully equipped with refrigerator, microwave, coffeemaker, and big TV. Bathroom was spacious and sported a large bathtub and a luxurious shower. Toilet was in a separate compartment for privacy. The bed was supremely comfortable, and a small balcony was provided for fresh air fiends and smokersl The breakfast, provided in an adjacent building, included fresh fruit, waffles, scrambled eggs, sausage, and just about anything you might want to start the day. Would not be inclined to investigate other hotels for a future stay, this place has it all!

Washington DC, District of Columbia343 contributions177 helpful votesWill all the guest rooms renovations be completed by mid-March?
Hello
My guess would be that it will not be completely done by mid March. However I think the best thing to do is try to call directly to the hotel. Not sure what their renovation schedule is looking like. Good luck.
6-6:30. I'm always there early so I can read for awhile so I don't remember exactly. I think they keep it early because they also cater to construction workers who reside at the Inn while they are on a job in the area. BUT! There is always enough food for everyone.
I know they allow dogs. I don't think there is a weight limit.
