I spent a few months here -very unpleasantly. I found the owner and possibly manager to be untrustworthy and unethical. The roads are in poor shape. The lots are mostly so uneven you wont be able to level. Internet barely works and is mostly down. The laundry room and machines are very dirty. Your clothes will smell worse when they...

We stayed for a week in October 2014. We loved the campground. Rustic, beautiful oak trees everywhere. We are now staying in California in our RV full time. Why are we not there you ask? We have 4 dogs, a boxer, 2 Chinese Crested, and a 17 year old Maltese who is blind and deaf, never goes outside. I might add,...

Found the staff very friendly and helpful. The sites are shaded with very old oak trees. A bit rough with dirt no gravel sites. If you like nature there is roosters crowing, peacocks crying and frogs croaking nothing earplugs won't fix if you don't like nature. Washrooms very clean but bring your own soap and towels. There is ants but...

We stayed here once and In all fairness it was a last minute ( a few days in advance) reservation. I have a 31 foot motorhome and was looking for a campground near Pala casino. This place looked decent in the pictures and sounded decent in the description and amenities. I made the reservation on line. When we arrived we...

We decided to find a campground that wasn’t too far away this time, and somewhere that wouldn’t be too hot since it’s been warmer than usual lately. Since we’re in the middle of Summer, pretty much any beach campground was full, and anything inland that wasn’t at a higher elevation would be close to triple digit temperatures, I found the...

We rented a one-bedroom "cabin" here for night sky watching. A total disappointment from standpoint of staff, amenities, cleanliness, accuracy of description, etc. Oak Knoll Campground's website states, with my feedback in [brackets] the following: We have excellent facilities at Oak Knoll Campground from video arcade games [mostly broken], billiards, board games & a new playground for the kids [a...

It's about 13 miles down the mountain from the Palomar Observatory. The observatory is open every day except December 24,25 though they only have guided tours on weekends. It is closed to the public at night. The camping spots were decent, level ground (no rocks) with water and electricity for $30/night. Plenty of room for a couple of tents and...
