This hotel room was fairly large and had two queen beds and we had booked it for two nights. But there was a lot wrong with it. There was no towel bar for the hand towel, no microwave oven, no blow dryer, the ice machine was broken and the pool was broken. We need ice every day and a blow dryer and wanted to sit by the pool after being at the beach. The next day when I asked for a blow dryer, they found one and brought it in. Then later I asked for a microwave oven and wife/owner hauled one in from another room. They said they were fixing the ice machine, and later said they were fixing the pool. They were nice about my complaints but not appologetic, just said they were trying to fix things. There were five new refridgerators in the office so it looked like they were gradually fixing things. I thought they might offer me a discount when checking out but they didn't. The only good thing about the hotel was that it was a block from the beach, which we loved and is why we didn't check out the second day. Maybe if you go in a few months it will be better and things will be fixed.…
Made the mistake of booking this hotel on Valetines weekend. We we celebrating my daughter and husband's birthday. This hotel is beyond run down and in need of serious updating. The prices they charged for this rundown shack could make your blood run cold. Terrible experience.
Awful place. I'm surprised City of Pismo beach puts up with this place. Lack of safety codes at this place, no smoke alarms, the cleanliness is disgusting, no shower curtain, black dirty rag hanging over shower rod. Room had no TV, was told " The Black people before you stole it"
Photos online looked fine. Front desk person called us to confirm we were on our way as we were on the road. We gave them our ETA. We got to the motel midday, and upon arrival...I could hardly look at it. Pathetic and needs to be demolished. No cars in parking lot, no one in the office, and door locked. Phone number on the locked office door - we called but no one answered. I didn't care - no way was I going to stay at a place with mattresses tossed between buildings, rain gutters falling off, shingles falling off roof, etc. Room rate was $130 for two queens. We did not stay, I filed a claim with my bank and we are happy staying somewhere else for a little more $$. TEAR IT DOWN!
When we booked the room online, the pictures and descriptions were not what we walked into. The descriptions said we'd have a microwave and fridge, which we did not. There was no phone, the TV was stuck on volume at 80. The room was filthy, there was stuff on the walls, mold, the walls and doors were damaged, there was a pill on the ground that didn't belong to any of us. There was no curtains, the outside screen was ripped,, the lights weren't all working, and the bathroom door didn't want to open once it was closed, mold in shower,, ect. When we told the worker at the desk, she was very rude and didn't care about the quality of the room. We were not refunded our money either.
2 King sized rooms for $200, with $30 in ‘tax’ (there is not a 15% tax for motel rooms) and asked for all of it in cash. Seemed especially desperate for us to get the room over the phone, even asked how soon we would be there. Extremely sketchy, definitely some kind of tax evasion scheme going on. Rooms were incredibly trashy, only 1 towel per room and no toilet paper whatsoever. Shower was cold, bathroom door to one of rooms didn’t open well once closed. Would never recommend to anyone.
Where do I begin. No towels in the bathroom, followed by no ability to heat the room and mind you we stayed here in December!! When you turned the light out in the room it turned off all the electricity in the room and the bathroom!! Old and outdated. And way overpriced!!
The best thing about this motel is the location. It is not cheap, as we got the room for over 200 bucks a night. It did do the trick, as we were there to have a good time and that meant drinking as well. It is close enough to everything so you don't have to drive , just in case you can't. It takes 10 minutes to walk to the action of the beach and the pier. Our room was clean, but in bad need of an update. Our keys did not work and the person in the lobby told us they were probably deactivated from being in our wallets. No. Aside from that, we were able to sleep and did not have to drive back home drunk.
If you’re on a tight budget this place will do however don’t expect much. The room was clean but dated and could probably use a renovation, the pool seemed clean but I didn’t use it so this is only a visual opinion. I don’t think I could recommend a long stay at this place but if you need a bed while passing through town it will do, any there is no coffee in the room and no continental breakfast even though it’s on the sign.
Don’t go there!! This hotel is a complete dive. Needs a complete over haul. Carpet is covered in stains. Holes in walls. My room smelt of stale urine. Furniture and carpets need to be taken out and burned. If u have booked this place drive straight past it and find somewhere else even if it means losing the money from your booking..
