Overall, I was not happy with our stay. It was much further from the beach than I expected. It was not particularly clean and the room was small. The pull out couch was very uncomfortable. The pool and spa did not seem very clean either. Overall, I would not stay here again and would look for a better hotel closer to the beach.
Clean, good price for the size of the suite, Hotel is quiet, as long as your room is away from the pool. Breakfast is popular, so try to go before 8:30. Shower only, in the room, so don't expect to bathe.
Courteous and helpful staff made our visit great, especially Frank the shuttle driver. He was terrific letting us know about the best restaurants and exciting places to see. He is definitely a great asset to Oxford Suites in Pismo. Room was clean and fresh. I was also impressed at how well the grounds were manicured. Well done!
Really enjoyed our stay here. Our room was clean and very spacious for the 4 of us. Many people brought their dogs, including us, and we felt that the hotel grounds were pretty clean. There was a designated dog park but lots of grassy areas in addition to that. Our room was tucked away in a back corner so we didn't hear any noise from the freeway or street. It's an open hotel plan, meaning there are no dark hallways to walk through so I felt that helped with noise since we really didn't hear anything at all. Food was good, definitely better than a continental breakfast. The pool and jacuzzi are small and were always packed with people and lots of kids so we didn't really go in it. But the beach is nearby and that's what we really were there to enjoy. Staff was super nice and helpful. We'll definitely stay there again.…
The hotel was very nice. It is clearly aimed at families and many were there when we visited. The location is not on the beach, but close enough that getting there was easy (parking at the beach, not so much).
On the night that we stayed, the people in the room above us refused to quiet their kids who were jumping off the beds even after I asked them to stop. I called the manager and he talked to these people without success. He then offered to have us move to a new room so we could get some sleep after a long day. We can't thank him enough for doing that.
Love it. Close proximity to the beach, wine tasting, shopping and other family oriented activities. Have stayed at Oxford suites in past and enjoyed it before. Breakfast is more than expected and plentiful. Front desk staff were very helpful.
It was a excellent stay, they had a pool, jacuzzi, and kiddy pool. They also had a dog area, and a electric bbq and seating are which was really awesome! I love that you can stay with a big family there, but my only complain would be the AC. Yes I know we are staying by the coast but it was so stuffy and my kids sleeping in the pull out couch didn’t get no fresh air that way because we the AC sucked. We had to sleep with the window open and even then still wasn’t enough! I wished the living room allowed the window to at least open up a bit so we can have fresh air but nope. So we had to sleep with the door cracked open to feel fresh which is sketchy because you never know.
My daughters and I had a little getaway here to unwind and visit beaches. This hotel was a short drive to the beaches and other locales. We very much appreciated the hot breakfasts and evening snacks. The warm pool was definitely a hit with my girls.
Need more improvement especially all your accessible rooms. Really bad smell. Not healthy room environment especially for the children. Toilets too small and too dirty needs to change most of it. So sorry
