This property is tucked away off the freeway surround by an industrial area but don't let that turn you away. I had a room on the 3rd floor and it was quiet like a fish! The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable!...More

Having not studied entomology nor seen the bug myself, I could not guess what is was. However, bed bugs are often confused with carpenter beetles and other small insects. Since you were not bit, I seriously doubt it was a bed bug. You should also consider that you found the bug in the bathroom.
Since bed bugs are only about the width of a credit card, they can squeeze into really small hiding spots. If a crack will hold a credit card, it could hide a bed bug. When not feeding, bed bugs hide in a variety of places. Around the bed, they can be found near the piping, seams and tags of the mattress and box spring, and in cracks on the bed frame and headboard.
