Nice spot downtown. The pool is open. Our room(206) backs onto tehama street which is fairly busy. The room was nicely appointed with all the modern touches including wifi. The noise is no problem with earplugs firmly installed... Breakfast is "continental ". Don't expect much. The coffee was a bit weak for our taste. $69+ tax for a king

Based on my cursory review of other hotel/motels in the area, this one seemed just a tad nicer than the rest and about $15 more than the others. I'd say that $15 is worth it to stay in a room that seems new, fresh, clean and modern.

Located in downtown Redding, the Thunderbird Lodge s a great bargain. The room, grounds and breakfast area were immaculately clean, clearly showing that the owners take great pride in the property. The beds were comfortable and there enough plentiful electrical outlets. No problems with the wi-fi. The owners tried to make our stay as comfortable as possible, helping us select...

I travel through Redding a few times a year and the Thunderbird is much better then the better known chain motels. Convenient in town location. Cool older property updated so it's tasteful and comfortable and contemporary. I like the fact that it is closer to some trails if I want to go for a run or MTB ride up the...

We had top floor at the end. Non-smoking but the whole side we had was non-smoking but people smoke right under us anyway. So if you had Windows open it came in. They had a pool. Free breakfast. Free WiFi. Hard beds, but clean rooms. Older place. Did have AC. But loud. Had a microwave, refrigerator was very loud and...

Reasonable price, clean rooms and friendly staff. Was easy to find and convenient to Hwy. 5. Staff was eager to help us with questions about our travel plans. Breakfast was adequate, but could have been a little better.

This place is great. Very clean, great location, in town but very close to the 5 -- a great respite from a long drive and reasonably priced -- kind of a Route 66 place. Plus a good Mexican restaurant across the parking lot and a 24-hour donut place around the corner! Seriously, if you're driving, what more do you want?...

It is a good quality low cost place to stay. The staff are courteous, and helpful, and I wouldn't hesitate to stay again. Check in and check out was easy and quick. It was quiet and clean, and while an older motel style, was cozy.

Hardwood floors was a first for me but what a good idea for pets. Good water pressure in the shower. Tho not directly off 5 it's easy to get to. Would have loved to see a place for the dog to do her business as there was no green space at this hotel. Traffic noise was obvious as was the...

I have stayed at this hotel a few times and I have never been disappointed! Good service, clean room, and reasonably safe surroundings. The beds are better than most hotels in this price range and the sheet quality is average. Definitely would stay here again.
