Clean, friendly and comfortable. The pool was clean and refreshing and the room was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and check in was very quick and easy. My three kids felt safe and at ease there. It was by far a better experience than we encountered on the way home opting for a cheaper place. Thunderbird Lodge was...

Very up to date w/ nice furnishings; with reasonably quiet window type A/C; many restaurants nearby; Walls are thin however. in case it matters we visited on a Monday, so it may have been more quieter than on a weekend. I probably would avoid it on a weekend -but I am an EXTREMELY light sleeper.

It's clean, decent, basic, nice. Close to good eating spots rather than highway burger joints and Denny's. What do you really need? The Ritz. This isn't it. But it's my go-to stop from now on in Redding.

Great older motel that has been updated and at a very reasonable price . The room was very clean and comfortable. Great little Mexican restaurant at one end of the parking lot , so convenient . Breakfast was a little limited but there is a fantastic donut shop open 24 hrs just a short distance down the street. It was...

The room was clean nice and been updated. The ac was really loud and kept us awake. Staff was pleasant and welcoming. I would stay again if only 1 night. Its centrally located in downtown. Continental breakfast basic with fruit pastries, yogurt and cereal.

The parking lot is 3 feet away from the room doors. I couldn't sleep from all the cars and bikes. I wouldn't feed their breakfast to my enemy's dog, so I skipped it. I don't recommend this place to anyone,

This restored 70's? Motel was highly rated, so we were curious. Just passing through Redding, we wanted a clean, comfortable place for one night. Very economical, newly painted outside, and nicely furnished inside. Comfortable bed, good pillows. Breakfast room was spotless and well looked after. We arrived late in the evening, were checked in by pleasant, efficient man in the...

Even after reading other reviews, the Thunderbird Lodge was nicer than expected.Flat screen TV, microwave, refrigerator and friendly, professional check in.The shower water pressure was great and made up for the cramped shower. Will happily stay here next time we stop in Redding.

Nice spot downtown. The pool is open. Our room(206) backs onto tehama street which is fairly busy. The room was nicely appointed with all the modern touches including wifi. The noise is no problem with earplugs firmly installed... Breakfast is "continental ". Don't expect much. The coffee was a bit weak for our taste. $69+ tax for a king

Based on my cursory review of other hotel/motels in the area, this one seemed just a tad nicer than the rest and about $15 more than the others. I'd say that $15 is worth it to stay in a room that seems new, fresh, clean and modern.
