Good simple hotel not far from the ocean, walking distance, 10 min from the beach.
The place is clean, the staff is friendly the price is right.
No breakfast included but good cafe bout far.
I would recommend it.
Everything was clean and reservations were easy. As a woman traveling alone, I didn't have any misgivings about my safety. Although the environment is definitely budget level, it is not seedy or sketchy.

Good little place for two nights, roads a little noisy, but not bad considering the hotel has double glazed the windows, which helps a lot.

Oh my! I love public transportation (and use it evrywhere including in my home city because I don’t own a car) but I totally overlooked it in LA. Distances are huge. I opted for car rental (moreover, it wasn’t expensive). It took me 35 minutes to drive from LAX to the hotel on a weekday at noon. I guess the bus would have needed almost an hour to cover the same distance. Unlees you don’t plan to visit anything and only plan to go to the beach, the bus will be fine. But otherwise, everything would be out of reach without a car in a non-hour-consumimg way.
