The hotel is newly renovated and in very good condition. Our two bed room was really big and very clean. Breakfast was good. The location is good with plenty of shops and restaurants within a few minutes drive. The staff was really nice and helpful.

The hotel is in a Marriott cluster (Fairfield, Courtyard Residence Inn) all virtually next to each other. The room was very large but the bathroom dated and oddly shaped. For example if you need to get at the toilet paper it is basically behind you when using the toilet. Also the shower curtain barely fits the the over tub opening....

Dear Roy, Thank you for your feedback. We wish we had more control over the train whistles, however whenever they come to a public crossing they are required by law to make their presence known. The rooms on the southeast side of our building hear the least amount of noise. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional service, and we are...

Great service. Trains are still there but the rooms are good sized and place is very clean. Even with teh trains still got a good nights sleep. Breakfast is kept well stocked. Easy freeway access and a costco just 2 blocks aways for gas.

Dear Still Good Stuff, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience of our hotel with other travelers. Like you, many of our guests aren't bothered by the train whistles and we thank you for pointing that out. We're glad you had a chance to enjoy breakfast, we have recently added some tasty new items to our spread...

Hotel nicely decorated. Room clean and updated. They do give ear plugs. I just have difficulty sleeping with them. The ear plugs are definitely needed. Trains are very loud. Got a partial breakfast as I had to leave at 6:00 am. They were just starting to get breakfast ready, so I was able to have some yogurt.

Dear GolfNut, Thank you for your feedback. We're glad to hear you found the room clean and nicely decorated. We wish we had more control over the train whistle, but by law they are required to make themselves known when they come to a public crossing. For future reference, our rooms at the south end of our building hears the...

The staff at the hotel, reception desk, breakfast help, and cleaning people were all very friendly. The small pool and hot tub were adequate but there is very little sun in the late fall afternoon. The breakfast buffet was well stocked and hot! The room and public areas were clean. We thought the room was very noisy....road, train and hallway...we...

Stayed for 2 nights to attend a wedding. Was impressed by pleasing interior design, cleanliness, and friendliness of staff. Room was very nice and in excellent condition. One of the quietest hotels we've stayed at, although yes, there is a train track nearby (not visible) and you do hear the horn from time to time. It was not a big...

Staff friendly and helpful. Place obviously needs some upgrades. Uncomfortable seating in room, A/C barely worked, bed bouncy but comfortable. Bathtub with shower. Hot breakfast choices, but only til 9 on weekdays. Laundry available. Would not be my choice to stay there again. Avg rating because of good staff - they brought the rating up.

The staff was friendly and efficient. The room was spacious with a refrigerator and very clean. The entire hotel has recently been refurbished. The bfast was fresh hot and tasty. Hot eggs bacon waffles etc. The location is close to all things good: Arden Faire Mall, Costco many restaurant choices (BJ's was the best) and 24 hour Kinkos/Fed-Ex. 5 minutes...

If you're not needing to stay downtown, this is a perfect location. I couldn't believe that I was literally around the corner from the Sacramento State Fair at the Cal Expo grounds. I was pleasantly surprised. This is also a GREAT location for shopping. I went to Costco twice and the mall. It doesn't have the congestion of downtown, but...

I was actually relocated to this hotel after an overbooking issue with a downtown hotel during a conference at the Convention Center. The management at Fairfield Inn was extremely accommodating and welcoming to those of us who were suddenly dumped on their doorstep! Even though they were not originally part of the conference arrangements, they made every effort to have...
