Sacramento has gotten expensive, and unjustifiably so. It is hard to find a place to stay at government rate. This is one. A bit older and slightly worn, but being upgraded. Good staff. Decent clean rooms if not upscale. On the edge of downtown near sketchy areas. I've stayed here twice and will again, when need be.

Just passing through and found this hotel. Clean and quiet. Will stay again. The breakfast had no protein items, but the coffee was very good. Easy on/off from the freeway. They have a pool, so fun for families. It appears they also have a number of meetings rooms.

pleasant for overnight stay when stuck due to a delayed flight...it's close enough to airport and reasonably priced, but wouldn't choose it for a get away, romantic or otherwise. Staff is courteous and helpful, but facility shows wear and tear.

Stayed here for one night as a stopover on a road trip to Seattle. Booked a double Queen room. Great room, well equipped. Everywhere is clean and today. Friendly staff, adequate breakfast. Wifi speed was ok. Nice walk along the river to Old Sacramento. There are a lot of homeless people in the area of the hotel who are drawn...

I am from the Bay Area and during a trip to Sacramento I decided to stay at the Governors Inn Hotel. I certainly will not be coming back again. Things started off wrong from the moment I stepped inside the hotel. There is a cage with birds sitting at the reception. I asked the guy at the reception why they...

Like the setting of this hotel, make me feel very comfortable and unique. Nancy and Ronald will greet you by chirping their Hello's in their cage. Pros: Little bigger than average size room, very comfortable bed. Clean carpet, wood shutter blind kept out the bright ray in the morning during the summer. A function room assigned for continental breakfast instead...

Governors Inn hotel is an impressive building very close to the freeway. It is quite tricky finding the entrance for the first time from the freeway exit. Also, you have to turn into a side road rather than doing a U-turn to drive in the opposite direction. The bedroom was comfortable, the breakfast was not good, running out of bread...

Wow! This does not have the amenities of a five star hotel but it excels in what it does offer! It is located in Richards Blvd in downtown Sacramento. We had reservations on Amtrak for the next morning making this location great for us! This hotel very kindly sent their courtesy van to pick us up at the airport rental...

I loved this place. My king room was spacious, clean and great amenities (coffee maker, ironing board, blow dryer, etc.). Breakfast was also included. They have a nice pool and hot tub as well. But the best part was the shuttle service to the convention center and back. Also to and from the airport (which I will use next time...
