My husband and I had a wonderful time at the Black Rock Inn for our honeymoon. It is in a perfect location to get anywhere in the valley and the room was beautiful. It felt like staying at someone's (gorgeous) home. So, so relaxing and quiet. Jeff was an amazing host, guiding us towards our new favorite restaurants and even... More

The Black Rock Inn is a wonderful place to call home base during your stay in Napa Valley. The rooms are great -- all different but all full of character, charm and comfort. Jeff (the owner) is a delightful, accommodating (and funny!) host whom we enjoyed immensely. His knowledge of wine, wineries, the area, the local vendors, and cooking (breakfast... More

My husband and I just got back from an incredible stay at Black Rock. Jeff takes a lot of pride in his Inn and it shows! Breakfasts are delicious and plentiful. Each morning he outdoes himself from the previous morning. Jeff would joke that he doesn't like leftovers and my husband was more than happy to 'clean the plates'. Jeff's... More

This hotel is convivial, well organised, easy to use, and in an excellent location for Napa Valley exploration. It feels much like a B&B with a friendly host, decent well organised rooms and a communal eating area which makes for pleasant conversation with other travelers.

Stayed 3 nights in Jeff's beautiful B&B whilst we went to a wedding at a local winery. The rooms are full of character, large and tastefully decorated. We had delicious and varied breakfasts each morning full of homemade goodies! It was great to chat over breakfast with Geoff and the other guests from the US and overseas, interesting and fun,... On our 20th wedding anniversary trip to Napa Valley, Black Rock was home. Home on the eastern edge of the valley so centrally located that we rarely had to travel more than 2-3 miles for great vineyards, great food and great views. Jeff's hospitality was also like home with a very local flare. Fun, witty banter coupled with phenomenal, current... More

My wife and I visited Black Rock Inn for the first time this fall. We have been visiting the area for years and arrived with high expectations and are pleased to say that Jeff delivered. Black Rock Inn is tucked away off the main road in Saint Helena but only a short drive or uber ride to all of the... More

We spent a wonderful 3 nights there. Jeff was wonderful in getting us dining reservations and developing a wine tour that met our needs to a T. We had a lovely room overlooking the front entrance. Jeff is a gourmet cook so our breakfasts were 'to die for'. Thank you! Pam and Tom

I took my first trip to Napa with a few girlfriends last weekend and already can't wait to return... To Black Rock Inn specifically. Not only is the place charming, clean, conveniently located and exceptionally quaint, the owner, Jeff, makes it feel like a home-away-from-home. I'd highly recommend it for any type of Napa trip you're planning -- be it... More

I've only ever stayed at two spots in Napa, but my favorite was definitely this smaller bed and breakfast that way over-delivered. Jeff, the owner, keeps the place immaculate, and perfectly, elegantly decorated. The rooms were beautiful and quiet, which made for great nights of sleep. Every morning for breakfast, he would whip us up a feast that rivals the... More
