It was a good place to sleep and very convenient to where I was going. I liked the location. The staff was extremely friendly and kind. The rooms are very dark for day time sleeping. The place was kind of secluded which I liked very much. Being fenced in made me feel safe.

The reason why I stayed at this hotel was that I attended a conference at the Convention Center which is not far from here (15 minutes walk or a short bus ride), and the Hilton and Marriott were beyond my budget. Unfortunately, the area where the Elan hotel is located is a relatively run-down part of downtown San Jose -... More

Minutes after my niece and her 3 children (5 & 1yrs, & 3wks) checked in to hotel, my nephew finds dirty glass pipe in night stand drawer. I called Daniel at front desk to come to room 113 to see for himself what my 5 year old nephew found in the drawer. He was not able to explain to me... More

We were at a conference about 9/10 of a mile from the hotel. Unfortunately, the wrong direction. We were two professional women and this is a "working man's hotel" with construction types sitting outside their rooms smoking and drinking beer. Keep in mind I am married to a contractor, so I have no issues with their profession, but it was... More

NOT a hotel, this motel is overpriced and dirty, especially corners and grout. Bad pillows, only 2 per double bed, WiFi and TV did not work. Service was friendly but slow and barely competent. Charging a $20 pet fee at this dump is really shameful. The best part was the cute cat in residence.

The reviews certainly don't lie. I usually like to decide for my self but this place needs shutting down. Traveling California with my partner, paid to stay here for 2 nights. Get to the motel and we are early. Receptionist wants to charge us for being early?? So we took a wander around the neighbourhood instead! Get into the room,... More

The sleeping area was ok . Definitely in need of new carpet extremely bad condition. The toilet area is another can of worms. It appeared as though someone had used the wall as tissue for their nose and right beside the toilet there was a smear that appeared to be feces. I did not want to get to close to... More

The staff were kind and helpful. It's a motel and frankly that really sums it up. It is not located in a nice part of San Jose but if you need an inexpensive place to lay your head...voila! Continental breakfast was an exaggeration be prepared to go across the street one of the restaurants (Denny's) to have a decent breakfast.... More

To start with, the location is questionable as others have said. It took a while to check in because there is only one person at the desk. We arrived at 4:30 which was well past the 2 pm check in time. We were given a room and upon walking up to it we saw the door wide open and the... More
