A great stay for my family. Great service, food and breakfast. Drinks and snacks at reception are amazing! Very friendly staff, chef and bar staff. Really enjoyed our stay! We ordered dinner from the restaurant and I was very pleasantly surprised! it was awesome! glad I stayed in! Pool was indoor for the gloomy morning and my kids loved it!
The hotel is in a great location. It was clean and everyone was following CDC guidelines. The front desk welcomed me as a rewards member with some free water. The morning grab and go breakfast were nicely packaged and ready to go.
We had a reservation few months in advance, and also some correspondences with the hotel regarding the room, AND YET, when we arrived, we were told that the hotel is over booking, and we don’t have a room! It was 09:00 pm, and we arrived from a long drive. They were kind enough to help us find a room in a local motel, we took it since it was late and it was the only option in the area. They didn’t charge us for the night but it doesn’t matter, we planed to have a nice evening and not in a motel. I would expect the hotel to give us heads up about the situation, so we could figure it out in advance, rather than surprise us at the last minute…
A very worn, dark room. Carpet was stained, door frames were so banged up it looked like beavers had been chewing on them. Felt run down. Very dark room with tiny, chicken wire window for light on one end and a view of parking lots and strip mall roofs on the other end. On the edge of town, the location requires a car or Uber to get downtown or to the university. There are far better places to stay for $350+ per night. Highly suggest you keep looking.
There's a lot I love about this hotel including the quiet location, the proximity to shops and restaurants, and the breakfast offered. What I didn't love was that the courtyard area in the center of the hotel - which is sort of the lobby/eating area/gathering space combined - is supposed to be a "quiet area" after 10pm. We stayed over on a weekend, and on Saturday night, a large party gathered in this courtyard area (which is indoors, and our room faced out onto this area) and the loud party continued well after 2am, despite our many calls to the front desk. Nothing was done to disperse this group and it really disrupted our stay to listen to people screaming and laughing at 2am. Either don't call it a "quiet area" after 10pm or enforce the posted rules.
Very nice hotel, room had exceptional views. Martha at the front desk was very kind and answered all of our questions making our stay easier! Would definitely stay here again. Breakfast was free. Payed for valet parking because street parking was very limited.
Upon arrival the sheets were COVERED in dog hair .. I requested them to be replaced through the app messenger and that didn’t work. I called front desk and that didn’t work ( no answer). I went down to the front and one person working with a line of people so we left for dinner and came back to tell front desk and the sheets were replaced. Floors have heavy staining. There was a huge splatter on the bathroom door I noticed as well. So gross. Also our balcony door wouldn’t lock and I was told Maintenece could come fix it. they never did and when I went back down to ask how much longer I was told Maintance went home for the day. This hotel is loud and lots of partying people and The tv next door is like it’s in our room (and it’s midnight）never again. What a way to spend 450$
My family decided to stay at this property as bookends to a road trip to LA. Our stay the first night was great. The room was a little dated, but clean and orderly. We were pleasantly surprised. Fast forward, 4-days later, we stopped in again on our way home to the Bay Area. This time it was as if we had stopped at a completely different hotel. The even clerk checking us in was not at all friendly. We can hear her loudly discussing her holiday evening plans. The room was not as clean and the curtains were torn. My daughter almost had the towel rack fall on her. When she reached for a towel to dry her hands, everything on the rack (about 4 towels) came tumbling down and the metal rack almost hit her on the head, luckily it did not come out of the wall. After a closer look, the rack was being held up with loose brackets and a screw that had already come loose, see photos.…
The bathroom was really small and old fashioned. The curtains and the walls and some kind of dark mold on them. The Sofa was very smelly of human odors. I was just really dark and depressing in general. I wouldn't come back to stay.
The hotel was way over priced considering that you do not get your room cleaned at all no matter how many days you stay ( my case 4) The hotel is dirty. They double charged my credit card around $2,300.00 twice by mistake, the common area carpeting near the elevator is disgusting. Our safe didn't work, our room key some times worked.
