The hotel was nice but pricey (over $200 with tax and $10 parking). Breakfast was continental and was just OK. The hotel is right on the main drag and that was why we chose it. Our room was 206 - and was right next to the ice machine - which made it impossible to sleep until 9 pm when a...

Hotel Santa Barbara is located in the prime hub of State Street. Walking distance to shops, restaurants, and to the water. A moderate mid-size hotel, Hotel Santa Barbara is great for any newbies to Santa Barbara. Parking is available in the back for a fee, the rooms are simple, clean, and hallways quiet and well-maintained. It's definitely not a fussy...

The hotel has a great location right by santa barbaras main street. Besides this there is nothing exciting about it. Noicy at night, no room service available, no mini bar and moreover missing staff in the front desk. Breakfast served on disposable wear. Not a 4 star hotel at all.

Spent the weekend here for a wedding along with friends. Nice accomodations. Room is a little tight but very nice none the less. Staff was extremely nice. Continental breakfast included. Right in the heart of State Street, not far from the beach.

This hotel was a very pleasant surprise for my wife and I. The staff was extremely courteous, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The room was very clean and comfortable, a tad small, but we understood because of the age of the hotel it was normal. It's a very charming and quaint hotel and it's location is excellent. You are within walking...

We like small hotels with class, especially older ones that have been maintained with their original personalities. Hotel Santa Barbara is one such, in a terrific location. The staff is cordial, the rooms are comfortable, the breakfast is really good. It feels hospitable, rather than commercial.

If you are looking for easy walks to everything on State Street in Santa Barbara, you can't do much better than the Hotel Santa Barbara. It's an old hotel -- no pool or fitness center -- that harkens back to a time when Santa Barbara was a much sleepier beach town. The desk staff are very friendly, and very carefully...

If you want to stay at a older, nostalgic property in downtown Santa Barbara, recommend Hotel Santa Barbara. Location was fantastic to walk to most local hangouts and you can easily get to the beach from the Hotel. Just be prepared to use the stairs more than the elevator - original one from 1928 still in service. Good news -...

I needed a safe interesting place to stay while checking out UCSB with my son. There is nothing special near campus, which is about 15 miles away, and I knew we wanted to check out "the area" as much as the campus. I considered booking near the beach, but chose here instead, and I was NOT disappointed. The hotel is...

Stayed overnight on a road trip up the coast of California. Very quaint hotel located at the heart of State Street, walking distance to all the shops, restaurants, beach and pier - couldn't ask for a better location! Great value for money, too! Traditional décor which goes well with the hotel. The room was a little small (although bathroom was...
