We spent the night here, and were quite pleased. The price was certainly right compared with nearby hotels wanting 75% more for similar rooms. They were very welcoming, saying this was the original Motel 6. The room was clean, but had some lingering smell from a smoker (it was supposed to be a non-smoking room). Note the standard of Motel...

This motel is a perfect inexpensive option as far as location goes. It's right by the beach. The rooms are modern (although tiny) and adequate. However, my night at this motel was by far the most uncomfortable, sleepless night I've ever had. The mattress was like sleeping on stiff cardboard. I tossed and turned and finally gave up. When I...

We went to Santa Barbara for the weekend. We wanted a little get a way that would not break the bank. While we would usually opt for a more full service property, we decided to spend more than half the price on lodging (approx. $89). The room has been remodeled in that Ikea modern type style. Sure beats the typical...

First hotel we stayed in on our epic West Coast raod trip, and it was perfect. It was modern, close to the beach, close to Santa Barbara town and the guy that helped us (Eric) was lovely, and helped us a lot.

First off, the room, although very basic (no coffee maker in the room !), was decent sized, clean and comfortable. It is also just across the road from East Beach. However... - there is no breakfast, and nowhere to get breakfast without taking the car for a 10 minute drive down to West Beach. Except for one good but expensive...

Location is great - but also the price for a Motel 6 (105 plus tax) is very high. New remodeled rooms, but 2 bed room was way to small. One bed direct on the aircondition (you will not be able to but a finger between aircondition and bed) and the other one right on the wall. If you will find...

Well except that it costs $140.00 a night to stay here, but this is Santa Barbara and it does not get cheaper. The rooms are remodeled with the fake hardwood floors and the european decor. The rooms are smaller than a normal Motel 6 location but nicer. Check in/out was very quick and I had no issues. The floors might...

I booked this Motel 6 for a Saturday night in July in Santa Barbara. There are very few options in Santa Barbara this time of year to book a hotel for a Saurday night only, most require the Friday be booked as well. Also, the rates this time of year are extremely high, as was evidenced by the $192 we...

My husbdand and I stayed at Motel 6 Beach Santa Barbara 1 night in June. We arrived late as we came from San Francisco. We needed a "cheap" hotel to sleep and leave early the next morning. This hotel is perfect if you are looking for a clean, modern and relatively cheap accommodation. Santa Barbara hotels are very expensive. Motel...

We stayed here in August and had a bit of a crazy time. We checked in around 7 pm, but when we went to the room, to our surprise, it was not ready. No linens, not cleaned except garbage emptied. The manager offered to clean it for us, but we declined thinking that it may not be cleaned as well...
