Usually Hyatts are great. This one is not. The hotel, rooms, and furnishings are all well beyond their useful life. The ocean views are great and the location is also convenient if you have a car. But the rooms are just old and nasty. The chain should really consider tearing this place down and starting again or seriously refurbing the...

Excellent location pretty much right on the beach. The nostalgia is very cool. I can see how someone would not like but, if you enjoy the history it is worth the stay. The in room AC unit are very loud but I opened the windows at night and listened to the waves crash. The bar is pretty good. Sit outside...

I give this Hyatt no stars. Checked in & checked out the minute we walking in the room. Images do not reflect the room nor any Hyatt I have ever stayed in. The place is a dump besides not feeling safe Lost Almost $900 for 2 nights. Expedia was no help with a refund nor was the Hyatt. I will...

I am livid. This is absolutly the worst hotel i have stayed at. There is no way this hotel is worth what they charge. I dont leave reviews usually even with a bad experience but this hotel is so over priced i will never stay at a hyatt again.

Some reviews are not very kind for the Hyatt Centric and some are correct in saying that it is not up to the Hyatt Hotel standards but you are in Santa Barbara where buildings are old. Our first night the cheapest price was with Expedia which gave us later checkout and breakfast for 2 for $259, however his was on...

This was such an expensive hotel for what we got. We thought the motel 6 next door looked like a better place to stay. The rooms were old and tired. Tissue is not even in the room. Soap cheap. No view or balcony. Pool looked questionable. Such a disappointment. Sad Hyatt has to put its name on this place. It...

Great location, but expensive for what you get! We stayed here last weekend and had a decent experience. Check in was great and easy, but they charge $28 per day for parking - so just park on the street for free! While we stayed there the elevator by our room was broken, which was ok as we don't mind the...

We were in Santa Barbara for a wedding and we selected the Hyatt for its convenience. The hotel is well located and next to the ocean. However the room they gave us in the main building, second floor was dated, notoriously dark and in poor conditions. We had a view to the back street. The staff was respectful, but customer...
