This place is not as amazing as it was when it had the beautiful, unique murals in each room, but it has been redecorated in a lovely and updated manner. The staff is friendly and the free bikes during the day are great. The best thing about it is the location. It is a short walk to shops, theaters and...

This is an older motel that has been well maintained. Our room appeared to be freshly painted with up-to-date decorative touches. The towels felt like loofah sponges though, so those had seen better days. It's well located and they had a bunch of cute new-looking bicycles for customers to use. Parking is tight but there is enough of it. I...

The staff at the Presidio are friendly and helpful, and made me feel welcome before I even arrived. They gave me a good idea of what to expect. The rooms were clean and conveniently furnished. My favorite thing was the outside deck on the second level: it was furnished with comfortable chairs, tables and umbrellas, and like everywhere at the...

Comfortable, clean, and an easy walk into town. Staff was very helpful. Free parking. Shuttle to the pier from downtown is 25 cents per ride for seniors. When we return to Santa Barbara, we plan on returning to the Presidio.

My expectations for such a cheap room on the main drag were not high, but I was pleasantly surprised. I love the outdoor sitting area, nice to people watch! And throw in free bikes, will definitely stay here again!

This hotel was very comfortable. The room and bathroom were large, the beds very nice, shower was a larger size and there was a small table for me to use my laptop at. It was also quiet and a little north of downtown so we avoided the SB party atmosphere while being close enough to walk around. They also have...

This property does state that it is a motel where the rooms open up to the parking lot. Despite that this is a nice place to spend a couple of days for business or pleasure. It is close to all the sites on State Street other attractions in the Santa Barbara area.

Clean, great location and loved the set-up. Lovely time and enjoyed the room a great deal. The deck is fantastic with a good view. Close to downtown so you can walk and they also provide bikes should you want to ride one.

We had a fantastic time at the Presidio in beautiful Santa Barbara. The staff has been super friendly and helpful. The motel is charming, has a cool open air lounge and best of all: bikes to rent for free! Only advice: Keep away from the stingrays at the beach!

“It is nice to be on the second floor near the deck, and with high ceilings inside the room. The staff does a good job of ensuring that the deck doesn't become party space at night, so although our room was right next to it that was not a problem. The motel is small so there isn't a lot of coming and going.”

“The first floor rooms have vaulted ceilings so they seem bigger. Also, the rooms towards the back of the property are probably quieter than the ones located nearer to State St.”
