Good location. The bathroom felt bigger than the bedroom. Poor lighting in bathroom. No shelves for items. Fan in bathroom ran continuously when the one light switch was on. Sterile feeling. Bedroom cramped. Open closet with no door or covering. Only one small drawer for clothes. Lightening not the best. At night, light from hallway seeped under and around door.... More

Minimal luxury with a quirky vibe. We got a last minute patio room on the first floor. The bathroom was tiny yet surprisingly functional. The staff was friendly and the room was very clean. We will stay here again and again!

With two weeks to spend driving the Pacific Coast Highway, having no firm itinerary, we stopped for the evening in Santa Barbara and were pleased to find accommodation at Hotel Indigo. While at first it appeared to be a boutique hotel, it is actually part of the IHG brand. The hotel is old but has been beautifully renovated. The rooms... More

Now this may change in a year or so, but for now there is construction less than 2 feet from my room on one side, across the street on the other and one lot away on the other side. There is no place to sit and enjoy the beautiful Santa Barbara air. Yes there are chairs out front but is... More

We enjoyed the Indigo for several reasons: 1. Location at the midpoint between beach and down town 2. A modern fitout with lots of nice touches in the common areas 3. Friendly check in and out 4. Good wifi I'll usually take a smaller, more modern room over something larger and tired, but this was probably too small. With two... More

This hotel is good if you're only staying for one or 2 nights. It's nice and clean but it's very small. It's in a good location (4 blocks away from Main St.) For the price that we paid ($300+), we probably will not stay here again. But then again, it is Santa Barbara.

We went to the Hotel Indigo as part of a road trip from San Francisco to Vegas. It was fantastic! Clean, stylish, very well situated between the beach and the excellent shopping area it was much more than we'd hoped for. The staff were very helpful and the ambience of the hotel was just perfect. Can't wait to go back!
