I thought this hotel was really cute, but I understand it's not for everyone. It's not in the style of a typical hotel -- the rooms are more like separate little cottages reminiscent of baby condos. It's a bit pricey for what it is, but hotels in SB aren't cheap. Pros: - Great location. Half a block from the beach,...

Locals in Santa Barbara, we needed to find a hotel/motel for two nights while our house was being fumigated. We happened upon Casa Del Mar and found it to be absolutely perfect for us and our dog. The room is nicely decorated, good bed, large bathroom, we had a corner room which had ventilation on three sides, and most of...

It is a lovely place very close to the beach. Very clean. They have limited parking on the premise but parking on the street is available. Rooms are a bit pricey for what you get. For a B and B the breakfast is very simple. A few cereals, bagels, jam, philadelphia, pastry and juice. This is more like a motel...

We decided to swing through Santa Barbara on our way back from a very hot few days in Yosemite. We weren't quite sure we'd find a place to stay at a reasonable price without a prior reservation, however CDM hit the mark and then some. We called around to a few different Inns in the area, and most were fully...

First of all, like most accommodation on the Californian coast in the Summer, it's ridiculously overpriced... But, that aside the place is spotless, there's parking on the street right outside (and a few places undercover but not garaged) and it's quiet. There's no air con that I could discover but my room was fine with fan. The breakfast is 'meh'...

I picked this inn because of the location & it didn't disappoint. The grounds are nicely landscaped with huge succulents & blooming shrubs. The courtyard is charming with a fountain in the center & decorative tiles. The rooms were about standard for a mid priced inn. No AC so the room didn't smell as fresh as I would have liked....

Decent rooms. We had a 2 room "suite." One room was private but the other bed is actually right out in the open in the living room and makes kitchen access difficult and awkward when someone is in the bed. No privacy curtain or screen. Front desk staff is friendly and helpful. Location convenient to beach and pier. Breakfast is...

We stayed two nights at Casa Del Mar. Free parking on site, but there are only a few spaces...otherwise you have to really read the street signs and shuffle your car for all the parking restrictions that change daily during the week. Luckily, we parked on site and walked everywhere. Very short walk to the beach and the marina with...

Spent the day Antiquing from Pasadena. Checked in and found beach cottage type apartment surrounded with neat coastal vegetation. There was microwave and full kitchen with NO pans or utensils. Maybe because we stayed the one night? Kept windows open all night hoping for a breeze. Walked down to wharf, cool. Looking for a dinner spot close by due to...

An older property that has been undated and remodeled - at least our room. Charming wood beams in the ceiling, two beds, and a desk. It was an unusually HOT day/evening and as there is no A/C we had to open the windows. That meant we could actually hear footsteps outside. I went back to the car which was parked...
