Very nice setting, and beautifully kept residences. Alice in Wonderland themed, but not overdone. The owner is pleasant and helpful, and parking is provided. Sadly however, the place was not for me, and I had to apologise profusely to the owner (and my wife), as I prefer the sterility of hotels to this more intimate setting. Obviously we paid up...

The Cheshire Cat is simply Santa Barbara at its best. The owner Christine and her staff offer luxury and quiet comfort in each beautifully appointed bungalow. Each room and cottage is unique complete with the most wonderful robes! Breakfast is absolutely perfect and chocolate chip cookies at night! Steps away from State Street with shopping and restaurants galore. Make this...

On the face of it, it is what it's supposed to be. Charming private house taking guests. It's not supposed to be a 5 star international hotel as inferred in other reviews. However it is difficult not to be critical of the noise heard from every step taken by the guests upstairs (we were in Cheshire Cat) and the rather...

Four day getaway meeting friends from LA.....our room was Cheshire Cat on the Main level.......so very comfortable and nicely decorated. The shower was huge with pretty tile work and a walk-in... so important as my husband is an older Senior. Location is great for walking to downtown with the many good restaurants and shops as well as The Art Museum....

My daughter and I stayed at the Inn for two nights recently. We stayed in the White Rabbit Suite, which was very well appointed with lots of room to stretch out. Over the balcony, but too sunny to sit out for very long. The breakfast was just the right amount of food to fuel your morning activities and very tasty....

Just delightful! Had a smile on my face from arrival to departure. The staff was committed to excellence. Rooms were decorated in the style of the vintage home that was the hotel. In a residential neighbor hood, so it was easy to imagine when the home was built and the families that raised their children there.

Arrived in Santa Barbara for a very short stay and wanted a cozy, reasonably priced overnight place to be. Found The Cheshire Cat on TA and all the reviews were right. Each of the rooms are individually decorated and very sweet and well appointed. We were in the lovely blue and white Mock Turtle room. Would go back here in...

Just back from a few days in Santa Barbara and chose to stay at the Cheshire Cat. My wife and I are both active seniors and we loved the place. The room was bright, clean and cheerful. Breakfast was more than adequate with a variety of options. The location was PERFECT... a nice walk to the many restaurants and some...

My wife and I absolutely loved the inn. After driving up from LA and arriving shortly after 1, we were delighted that our room was ready and we were able to rest and relax. The Cheshire Cat is remarkable! Stunning arrangements of flowers throughout, afternoon refreshments (and yes, the deviled eggs were as delicious as expected), and a substantial breakfast...

We enjoyed our one night in the Tweedledum room. We had booked two nights but a severe storm prevented our arrival for the first night. The Inn graciously accepted a late cancellation without any charge. Our room was very nice—large, clean, and comfortable—though the decor in the sitting/living area seemed oddly disconnected from the decor in the bedroom. Both were...
