Short stop on my way from Phoenix to Bay Area. First, no Elite welcome. Obviously not a big deal, but something one notices. Now, for the stuff I did notice: trash in front of one of the lobby facing rooms. Yuck. Elevator area REEEEEEKED of pot. Means they aren’t enforcing the no smoking policy. One person here on staff. Seriously? Room - cleanish. TV - good Lighting - adequate
Upon arriving home from my recent stay at the Fairfield inn at Valencia, as I unpacking I noticed I was missing my plastic laundry bag of my dirty workout clothes. I realized I had accidentally left it in the hotel room I was staying in and immediately called the Fairfield inn Valencia to tell them what happened. Everybody I spoke to was so helpful, and genuinely concerned about my belongings, and wanted to help me find it. I wish I could remember their names to give them a shout out, but it was Monday March 8, evening and Tuesday March 9, afternoon that I called and spoke to staff. Everybody I spoke to was so nice and helpful and assured me they’d call when they had more news. They took down my number to call me when they were able to speak to their housekeeping staff. They called me back and informed and they were still trying to find my belongings and waiting to speak to the housekeeping manager as soon as they returned Wednesday from their days off. As promised, they did call me. Today, I received a phone call from the manager Tom, telling me they had news, he said unfortunately not the news I was hoping for. He explained housekeeping accidentally threw it away mistaking it for trash, I mean it did appear to look like trash since it was in a white plastic laundry bag. They apologized several times for the mistake and Tom said he was going to reimburse me for the two nights stay so that I can replace my workout clothes that were mistaken for trash. I was so impressed and truly grateful for this accommodation they made for me. They didn’t need to step up that way, but they did. I accidentally left it and housekeeping accidentally threw it away, mistakes were made on both ends and Tom and his staff went above and beyond turning these accidents into my good fortune. Speaking to him I could tell his main goal was to intentionally make this situation right. Some say customer service is a thing of the past, but at Fairfield inn Tom and his managing staff went above and beyond delivering customer service to me. Please know you’ll forever have a loyal customer in me every time I’m in Valencia. Thank you so very much Tom and friends! One happy and blessed traveler…
With so many places to stay in Santa Clarita now, there were some good things listed on their website that got me to book the Fairfield Inn. The staff were very friendly. The check-in (and check-out) process both took less than a couple of minutes. They are very organized and know what they are doing. The breakfast was very good. So many options: Coffee, juice, bread, bagels, english muffins, waffles, cereals, yogurts, bacon, sausage (pork and turkey), eggs, cheese omelets, and sweet breads. Great little seating area that was never over-crowded because people wanted to eat and get out to Magic Mountain (or surrounding area). There is a mini-fridge and microwave in the rooms as well - BONUS for leftovers!!!! It's only one exit away from Magic Mountain so the commute is within a few minutes. There are tons of restaurants (sit down and fast food) to eat. There is quite a bit of shopping as well. If there was anything to pick apart from this place, it would be the parking lot. It's shared with another Marriott property, which faces the Fairfield Inn, so it can get crowded if both hotels are full. Fortunately, we didn't have an issue, but I could see it potentially becoming one if you return to your room late night.…
A normal Fairfield Inn with a Residence Inn on the same property. Breakfast nook standard fare but the breakfast room is a little small for clients that pass thru. Bedroom is very comfortable and quiet. Has heated hot tub and out door pool heated also. Great restaurants are in the area so food is easy.
Ashleigh was so delightful when I walked in the door. Clean and quiet. John also was informative and fun. So many restaurants close by and just 5 minutes from the freeway. A great pool and a lovely breakfast.
