My boyfriend and i stayed here for two nights last week. I stayed here with my family growing up and my mom reminded me of what a great value the rooms are for the size of the rooms and the hotel's proximity to the wharf...More
(This is long, but worth the read in my humble opinion.) Last evening, July 8, 2013, my nine year-old son and I checked into this pet-friendly hotel near the Boardwalk of Santa Cruz. We checked in late (after 9 p.m.) and I told the front...More
Although there was nothing outstanding about this property, we did find that it was very convenient to the beach and the pier restaurants. It is 1 block from the pier and an easy walk. The complimentary breakfast was o.k., although the coffee ran out and...More
We decided to stay last minute and chose this hotel based off previous reviews we read. The only room left was the King Suite with Jacuzzi tub. The room was clean but very old and needs maintenance. The jacuzzi was falling apart and the wallpaper...More

Based on my own experience---I traveled a lot with three kids, each two years apart---it depends on the age of the children. If they're still relatively small, like preschool, I doubt if three kids sharing a single bed would be a problem. What hotels don't like is when guests try to sneak in more adults and teens than there are beds to a room. It's a violation of the fire code, which hotels are on the hook for if the guests are caught. That said, the Ocean Pacific Lodge is a family-run hotel; I'd talk to the manager if you have any doubts. Chances are they'll be flexible, but for older children they may insist you rent an extra folding bed.
