Nice location close to everything, plenty of parking and great value for money. Very clean and (surprisingly!!) great shower - really did punch above its weight as far as my expectations. Very close to pier and boardwalk which was good for our 1 night visit...More

Exactly what the title says. I'm not comparing it to The Ritz-Carlton so I'll give it a thumbs up considering it's Santa Cruz and California (which tend to be pricey). But the room was clean, service was great, ***'and *** best of all they enforce...More

Noisy. No AC. small, messy, crappy room. Nasty/drunk owner/ reception. NOT CHEAP! We stayed only long enough to find another hotel and beat feet out of there.
Would like to give this 0 stars but I don't see a way to do that.

Based on my own experience---I traveled a lot with three kids, each two years apart---it depends on the age of the children. If they're still relatively small, like preschool, I doubt if three kids sharing a single bed would be a problem. What hotels don't like is when guests try to sneak in more adults and teens than there are beds to a room. It's a violation of the fire code, which hotels are on the hook for if the guests are caught. That said, the Ocean Pacific Lodge is a family-run hotel; I'd talk to the manager if you have any doubts. Chances are they'll be flexible, but for older children they may insist you rent an extra folding bed.
