stayed at Hotel Paradox Dec 20 through Dec 23 santa cruz was cool and drizzly but this hotel lobby and restaurant featured glorious juniper christmas trees whose aroma filled the rooms................ Cannot say enough good things about the restaurant manager, Mark, who was personable and attentive despite working many long hours. Superb drinks from bar. the hotel does not feature...

We spent 2 nights at the Paradox. It is a short walk from the main shopping district of Santa Cruz if you go through the park. The rooms are a decent size, recently renovated and the bathrooms are lovely. The staff keep the hotel immaculately clean.

We normally stay at the Dream Inn (which we also love), but they are currently remodeling their pool (December 2016). Our family of 4 loved staying at the Hotel Paradox, and really enjoying the heated pool and large hot tub. We would definitely stay there again.

A great location (walk from the park behind the hotel to the Pacific Garden Mall) and very close to the ocean, and a pleasant spot to sleep. The rooms are small, however well-equiped and clean with an entrance from an outdoor hall. The back of the hotel overlooks a park. The hotel's decor was inspired by an intrinsic eccentricity such...

Perfect spot to stay! Free parking, terrific Solaire restaurant and located a short distance from the beach. Rooms open to exterior hallways but security is good. City views from rooms, nice outdoor pool just past lobby and some ground floor rooms have small patios facing the pool area. Wi-fi was fast, linens clean and fluffy. No tub - shower has...

We discovered this hotel about 2 years ago and we have been staying here ever since when we visit Santa Cruz. Apparently it is owned by Marriott so you do get Marriot rewards point too. The hotel is modern, clean and the staff are super friendly and helpful. We wanted a refrigerator and microwave in the room and they happily...

I stumbled upon this property while searching for a convenient location for an overnight in Santa Cruz. Though there are many choices of lodging, Marriott's "autograph selection" label caught my eye so I booked it. Was I glad about my decision. I arrived in the hotel to find a building that was clearly remodeled from what might have been an...

A pleasant surprise in Santa Cruz CA. Rooms were nice, bed comfy, staff well knowledgeable and a nice restaurant. Looks can be deceiving, as it looks a bit sketchy from the street side. The interior is completely gated and you feel safe and secure once in. It's very metro modern and we throughly enjoyed our short stay

We needed to spend a couple nights in Santa Cruz to visit relatives that were in town. I did not know this hotel and we were totally pleased by the entire stay. The rooms were very nice and the restaurant and bar were great. This is one of the Autograph hotels and it is a remodeled older property that they...

Nice room, good food and local beers and good wine selection at the bar. The staff was very welcoming and fast at checkin. The room is clean and nicely appointed. The food in the restaurant was delicious, the Clam Chowder especially.
