Very comfortable “pure wellness” room. Clean and fresh. Only negative was that the AC did not cool properly and the window would only open about 2 inches so the room was warmer most of the night than desired. The heated pool area is lovely with many loungers and the hot tub is indeed hot! Morning breakfast on a weekday is made to order and nicely done. Quick 10 minute ride to downtown Santa Cruz. Would certainly stay here again.

We had a great two night stay over Memorial Day. Staff was exceptionally friendly, accommodating and responsive. Excellent fitness room, great location to get anywhere in Sant Cruz and very safe and secure hotel. We’d stay again without hesitation

Worst experience EVER! So many things are wrong with this hotel, the price first off you would think a high end hotel but no the room has stains all over the couch, rips in the carpet, the phones don't work at all and the customer service is terrible. If all that wasn't enough housekeeping also stole my Nintendo Switch in my case with all my games and extra set of controllers. When I realized I forgot to grab Mt kindle and my switch I tried calling the hotel whose phone line had been disconnected. We drove back to the hotel since we couldn't reach anyone and they said they found my kindle but not my switch. They were in the same drawer though right on top of one another. No one had gone into the room except housekeeping and I went in to take a look and it wasn't there. The hotel assured me that no one else had access to the room except housekeeping manager and that he usually puts the expensive items I'm the safe. He wasn't there and I would get a call the next day. Well I didn't receive a call so I called them. Turns out their phones work today but they do not have my switch. I asked them how do they have 1 of my items the kindle but not the other the switch, they responded with we do not have it. When I said obviously someone in house keeping took it because you had the kindle and no one else went in the room they told me they had good people working for them. I'm sorry but if that were true I would have had both of my items returned. I asked to speak with the manager and they told me he was in a meeting and he would call me back. Still haven't received a phone call so I will be talking with my lawyer and I have filed a police report. I will definitely not be letting this one go. You think a well known hotel brand like Hilton would treat their guests better or at least try to resolve the issue if it was caused by one of their workers.

A couple of hours after our arrival, I went into the bathroom and turned on the lights. BAM!! A massive electrical arc which lit up the bathroom. It also took out one half of the outlets in the room. This is an electrocution problem. I reported it and requested a comp. The front desk took my information and did nothing. We used the emergency lights we had in the back of the car for bathroom lighting.

The location provides easy access to Santa Cruz/Capitola and the coastline. The service was great- all of the staff were very friendly. The drawback is the quality of the rooms. Our room had holes in the sheet curtain and a desk chair that had the cover eroded, revealing spongy cushion. Otherwise it was a wonderful place to use as a base for getting out and around the coast.

This hotel is dirty. Carpets need not just cleaning but a simple vacuum would help. Chairs are broken, frig is broken, may issues. Look at the chair in our room! You have to pay for parking but the parking is at your own risk after you pay.

Pros: Heated pool, Beautiful landscape and grounds. Cons: This hotel's interior is sadly worn and unclean. I took pictures of the extremely stained chaise and lampshade in the room. Furniture is old and worn. Outside spa had a sign (looked like it had been there awhile) stating it was out of service. Customer service was lacking. HORRIFING!: My husband and I were watching TV around 10 pm in our room, when a man from the hotel opened our door. We were SHOCKED! No knock. No calling out if someone was in the room. He just walked right in with our towels that we had requested 7 hours earlier! Thank God we hadn't disrobed for the night! Or out from the shower! I am totally disgusted with Hilton!

Stayed here because it is near my family’s house. But, even though it is super convenient, we won’t stay again. The lobby has been refreshed and the outside of the building is nice, but the hallways and rooms are so worn out. Air conditioning does not seem to properly cool (never got to the temperature it was set at), windows only open about 2 inches, and the rooms and halls have a odd moist, mildew sort of smell throughout. The entire room felt a little damp. Combined with no maid service (requested each day but never came), visibly dirty and stained furniture, and trash being piled in the hallways (probably bc there is no maid service and no public trash cans), the whole stay was gross. Feels more like a roadside motel. Wouldn’t be surprised if this isn’t a Hilton brand hotel for much longer. Too bad.

We stayed for 1 night while driving up the CA coast. We didn't arrive until about 8 pm and there was a line for check in (also purchasing from the pantry, asking questions, etc.). Unfortunately, there was only 1 person working the desk. This is a relatively large property so 1 is clearly not enough this early in the evening. The clerk was doing the best she could. The property itself is very nice. We had an upgraded room, which turned out to be a two room suite. It was well appointed, clean, and comfortable. We didn't really have time to check out much else. The breakfast buffet was pretty good although it costs more than the Hhonors credit (that replaced the free breakfast benefit). Check out was very easy. We'd stay again.

We booked this hotel through Costco in a package. We paid Costco in full at the time of booking. After check out, the hotel proceeded to charge our card for the full amount of our stay, even after we explained it was paid for. Long story short, after several calls to the hotel by myself & Costco, we are still awaiting our refund over a week later. My sister is also dealing with the same issue.
