I booked here for a trip to go see my grandmother. My grandmother passed away before the trip - as a result of the ensuing mess, i didn't remember to cancel until 23 hours before check-in. Too late! I was told they would give me 10% off next time, but I couldn't get my money back. I did NOT stay...

We were looking for a ok but cheap hotel near the 3rd Promenade. It was a 30 minutes walk to that street so it was fine by us since we didn't had a car for our last 2 days in LA. The room was clean but you could easily hear noice from other rooms, stairs and the road. The bed...

We stayed here en route to Vegas. We had a 1 night lay over, so decided to hang out at Santa Monica for the day while waiting for the next days flights. The Hotel was nicely kept, and room was very good. We left all our luggage at the Hotel so we could stroll around Santa Monica for the day....

We stayed here for three very comfortable nights. The hotel is quite dated but is clean and the location can't be beat. The staff are also very friendly and helpful. It's a great option compared to the much more expensive chains just up the road (many of which are also dated).

An older family-owned motel on Lincoln Blvd, conveniently located near the ocean and Main St. Actually walkable to either location. Main St., of course, is the place for quirky shops and good eating places. Also on the main drag to Venice Beach and their shopping places. No AC but plenty of windows to ventilate and beginning of April allowed for...

Overall place was good neat and tidy however you cannot sleep in as house keeping started at 8am and was quite noisy. The owner was very helpful and advised me where the best shops are and what the nearest attractions were.

$143 for an old bed, shabby room and the loudest room ever. Terrible experience. Keep looking, this place is not worth the rip off price. No shampoo, nor little bottle of conditioner. Very bare bones. And the WiFi is a joke. We do not recommend at all. Grouchy staff as well

I will start with the positives. The motel is well situated, approximately 1.5km to the beach, about 15-20 minutes by foot Free private parking in a small parking area next to the motel. Check-in by the motel owner was quick and friendly. The bed was comfortable to sleep in. Negatives While the room was clean and tidy, it was old...

The room was clean. No air conditioner but had a fan and the windows opened for cool fresh air. Slept like a baby. Staff was friendly and helpful. Easy and free parking at the hotel. Affordable place near beach and pier.

First of all we paid 250$ for 2 nights. Not too expensive - I know - but seriously....this is still way too expensive for such a rathole. Doors not isolated at all. We could hear every fart and sigh of the neighbours in the room next to us. We had a gas heater - like in the 70s - it...

Staying in Santa Monica

Neighbourhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
