Not costing a fortune, this motel was clean and reasonable. A 20 minute walk to Santa Monica Beach, and the pier, we were very impressed. And the staff were fantastic. On arrival Jerry greeted us, and was very helpful, offering tips for local dining. And the recent renovations were obvious, and well done. Clean and reasonable - just what we...

If someone had said you're going to pay 186 bucks to stay in a tiny room with no ac and you're going to hear every conversation that goes on between customers and the front office all night long I would've definitely looked for somewhere else to stay.

We randomly stopped in Santa Monica on a road trip from AZ to San Fran and decided to stay the night. Most of the lodging prices are high here so we were a bit worried because the deal on this place seemed too good to be true. However, it did not disappoint. If you're looking for a safe, clean place...

A normal motel room - clean, nothing fancy. All three people I talked with at the desk were extremely helpful with directions for car, walking and public transport -- all of which were easier than anticipated.

Nothing fancy: no fancy lobby, no pool, no spa. But clean remodeled rooms. Location is good. I chose it because it is on the Big Blue Bus rapid line from LAX. Easy walk to shops, restaurants, Light Rail. Staff attitude was great. Can't comment on value: Southwest Airlines offered what I thought was a good rate.

The location is great with Santa Monica Pier and Downtown Santa Monica within easy walking distance. Good price, free parking and free wifi. Good sized rooms and comfortable beds. We will book this motel again if we ever go back to the LA area. Tip: Take a morning walk and have your breakfast at Dogtown Coffee.

It was walking distance to the Pier and its fun at the Pier. The motel was roomy, clean and comfortable. It was also quiet too. I asked for a room farthest from the street and they gave me just what I wanted. The staff was polite and warm. I really enjoyed my stay.

This is what is says on the box - a motel. Basic but clean. Staff were ok but don't expect any frills. The location is great for the Santa Monica Pier and for the beach. The areas not as nice as it used to be but still good fun.

Staying in Santa Monica

Neighbourhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
