We visit Los Angels for one weekend by motorcycle. Ocean Park Hotel is ok for a short stay if you only need the hotel to sleep at night. Rooms are clean but simple, having a LCD TV and a fridge. But WC and shower are shared and outside room, bathroom could be better cleaned and need renovation.

Spent first night in LA here. Clean, tidy, exactly as advertised. Wifi was good. Shared bathroom was no issue at all and despite not arriving until after 2100 i got a parking spot easily. Office staff were friendly and very helpful. I would very much consider returning if in the area again. Whilst its no fancy hilton, no reason not...

Hotel service people on weekend were on drugs and the front door was locked so someone checking in couldn't get in and the door did not open from the inside which is a serious fire hazard. Also couldn't get anyone to answer phone on Saturday and no one called back even though a number was left.

We stayed here for a week and it was as expected for a budget hotel. There was no a/c but there was a fan so it wasn't too much of a problem, it was still hot but not unbearable. The staff at the front desk were all really nice and helpful. The cleaners were also lovely and did a great...

It is very hard to describe this hotel. From the one hand rooms are very clear, staff is turbo friendly and helpful, localizations is great, and the parking is free, and the WiFi is free, and it is a nice place to stay , but from the other hand - rooms are extra tiny, there is a shared bathroom (in...

The hotel itself is very clean and the manager was extremely nice. Although it is a little over priced for a hotel with a shared bath and no AC. However - it is definitely kept so clean that it really isn't so bad sharing a bathroom. The problem is the noise. The slamming doors kept us up all night. The...

I traveled solo. stayed here 3 days, the hotel is older and remolded. But cleaner than most. Good: Location is perfect! Near the beach. I liked the people and energy of the property. Comfy bed. BAD: NO AC. So it's gonna be hot. I managed by keeping the fan on and window open, and taking numerous showers. (Showers could also...

I had to cancel a booking for six nights at this hotel recently and return to Scotland after the suddent death of my father. This was just five days into my trip to the States. Given the circumstances I wrote to the hotel asking if they would consider a refund (or at least a partial refund) on my booking which...

I stayed here for one night only after a long flight from New York before an even longer flight back to New Zealand. The staff were very friendly and helpful, they answered any questions I had. The room was a good size, more than big enough for me and my piles of luggage. They also have laundry facilities and although...

Staying in Santa Monica

Neighbourhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
