Some reviews are marking this place down for having to share bathroom and being a bit far out from the beach- uh, that's pretty clear upon booking?! So my review will focus on things you can't find out from reading the website!! The gentleman on reception was EXTREMELY helpful and courteous. On arrival my friend and I were allocated a...

This hotel is great if you're on a budget and don't mind having to share bathrooms. I would definitely say this is a young person's place - it's more of a hostel than a hotel. The bathrooms were clean and I didn't ever have to wait to use the shower/toilet. Staff and the cleaners were very friendly and informative, helped...

Really loved the rooms here, beautifully renovated and have a really nice feel to them. Beds are so nice and comfy too 💤 Unfortunately the service was not as nice, front desk staff lacked in customer service. More about them than the customer and perhaps a little cold and task focused rather than customer focused. That said, the front desk...

You get what you pay for and you cant expect much for a 2 star hotel, but it did the job for the price. The beds were comfortable, the staff were very helpful and friendly. The room sizes reminded me of staying in London. There is no air cond, only ceiling fans. Which was fine for me, since it was...

Stayed with my friend for a nice trip to Santa Monica. This hotel is very clean and accomodating and the staff is absolutely wonderful. Neil during the day and Amy at night are simply fabulous and extremely helpful. The price is very good and it's close to many fun things in Los Angeles.

This was a new hotel (I think) but it's clear the owner knows what (s)he's doing, the rooms were well equipped and clean and the staff was very friendly + the price/night is reasonable. Breakfast included (if you book it) in a restaurant right next door which was delicious. Great location although I recommend a car (in general in LA)....

Good and clean budget hotel, free parking and the location is good, use gps if you rent car in la. Easy to get with the bus to santa monica downtown just outside the hotel cost 1 dollar. Shared bathroom is a minus for me but still very good and clean for the price in santa monica. Big plus is the...

We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel/hostel. The room was clean and had a fridge, plenty of restaurants around. Sure it's not a fancy hotel but who needs room service or a maid if you are on a budget. We suffered a bit under the heat in our room but it was okay. Also late check-in was not a...

If this was called Ocean Park Hostel I would rate it excellent. It is more of a hostel than a hotel I think. Have to share a bathroom and rooms are very small with no air conditioning and no maid service. The location is ok as you can walk, drive or get the bus down to the seafront. It is...

Clean, friendly staff, good wifi. No bathroom, no air conditioning, small room, inoperative TV, not even a chair in the room. Good restaurants nearby. Considering the outrageous prices of other hotels in the area, it is a viable option.

Staying in Santa Monica

Neighbourhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
